ECV for breech baby

Hi,
I will ask these questions of midwife as well but just wanted to pick the Mumsnet brain first.
I am 33 weeks baby currently breech. Has been since 20 week scan and unlikely to move due to position of placenta. I have a previous premature birth at 34 weeks.
I have a scan at 35 weeks to check position of placenta (assuming I get that far!), if they find baby is still breech is it likely i will be offered ECV with all the other factors - previous prem birth, low placenta?
Spoke to midwife this week and she thinks they are "nervous" of breech babies and prem situations and may schedule a CS without ECV.
I have nothing against a CS at all apart from the recovery time!

my first dd was breech. she was head up throughout the whole pregnancy and had a c section at 38 weeks. I agree with you, the recovery is not nice and now I am pregnant again the first thing I asked my OB was if I could have a natural birth this time. He, like many, thinks that the risk of rupture are too high and has advised another c section. This baby also though is breech at the mo and IMO unlikley to turn so guess I am heading for a c section again. To be honest I dont want to do anything that puts my life at risk as I have my DD to think about and even if this baby wasn't breech I would most probably have another c section anyway.

I have had 2 emergency sections with breach babies.

First was undiagnosed and the placenta abrupted so emergency general and c-section.

Second was breach as well, booked a section but went into labour early so emergency section but got to Hospital in time for an epidural, but only just in time as the second labour was very, very fast.

I planned for the 2nd section and booked a cleaner for the first four weeks, best money I ever spent.

I have an odd shaped womb so no amount of accupunture or crawling around on hands and knees would have turned the babies.

Thanks to all the responses!
Loopysmumsy yes my prem baby was vaginal and I recovered really well - which is why I'm keen to have another if at all possible!

Hi Loopymumsy, yes I am outside of the UK, in Portugal. They are really keen on c sections here if you have had one before. Other issue that I was worried about is having to be induced as they do that alot here as well and have read that is very bad if you are trying for a VBAC. Also on my last scan at 20 weeks the doctor thought that my uterus shape may have sth to do with why this baby is also breech. Lets see what happens but at the mo he is still feet down. So uncomfortable!
