Working out due dates

I have had several different expected due dates, first scan they said april 15th, second scan it was april 10th, third scan it was april 12th.
At my last scan when i was 32 weeks pregnant they said baby is same size as if i was 35 weeks pregnant.

The thing is I've only had sex once in the past two years and that was on July 10th 2009.
Shouldn't knowing that instantly tell me my actual due date?
How do I work it out?

Sperm can survive and fertilise an egg for 5 days (although 2 or 3 is more unusual). Eggs live for 24 hours. That means that you might have conceived any time from 10-15 July (approx). It's not a very wide spread of dates though. If you add 38 weeks to those dates it would give you a ballpark.

Thanks, that would make me due anywhere from the 2nd to the 6th.. hmm

I really wouldn't worry too much about it as the differences are so marginal. Try not to obsess too much about your due date (I did with DS1 and it was pointless) as it's such a rough guess. Funnily enough I'm in a very similar boat to you as when I got the BFP I looked at the dates and worked out that I should be due April 25th. They told me I was due 10th April then settled on 12th as I was so sure about it and didn't want to repeat last experience with going in for induction and a week pkus is quite a difference at that stage.

I'm surprised they keep changing the due dates to be honest. I've only had two scans and they dated me back at the first 12 week one and left it at that. I was expecting them to say I was only 10 weeks then so I'm slightly concerned I have abnormally large baby.

Also, when they were telling me I was 2 weeks more than I thought possible they forgot to mention that in England they count a pregnancy as 40 weeks (in France it's 38) because for up to 2 of those 40 weeks you may/may not actually be pregnant so I guess I wasn't.

Hmmmm.. I think I'm confusing myself now!

Just found this link.. might help?
