Bumps -is a squishy bump more my fat than baby bump??

My bump is starting to look slightly less like too many mince pies but changes through the day and usually bigger in the morning (I'm 19+1).

BUT it is mainly soft...so does this mean my bump is really just extra fat I've put on (my weight always goes to my tummy first) or is it actually baby?!?

I thought bumps were hard so bit paranoid but after stressing I'd put on too much in first trimester I've put on one pound in last 3 weeks (so 9lbs in total) and now stressing that I'm supposed to be putting on a pound a week in second trimester. Is this normal??

My bump is 'firm' - not really squishy, but not hard either. Mine is bigger in the evening, af ter I have eaten my massive dinner! I have put on about 10 lbs and am 20 +3 - not too worried about it as my boobs and bump are really quite big now, so I can see where the weight has gone!

The bump underneath will be pushing all your fat out.
I'm 32 weeks and still have a smaller than usual squishy type bump. They said I don't have a large amount of amneotic fluid which means I can feel baby's limbs and such but my belly certainly isn't basketball shaped.

Also, I was 12 stone (and 5ft8) when I got pregnant, and now I'm 11 stone at 7 1/2 months pregnant!
So how much weight you're supposed to put on seems irrelevant, unless you started off very slim.

Thanks ladies. I'm seeing the midwife on Monday and 20 week scan a week on Friday so hopefully will be reassured all is well then.

At 19 weeks your baby is still small and much lower down than you probably think!

However your uterus will be growing and creating space for your growing baby.

Don't worry, everyone is different and everyone gains different amounts of weight.
