Raspberry leaf tea

Does anyone know if the tablets are stronger than the tea, or the other way round? Any good recommendations for brands? And does anyone know where to get really fresh loose tea, as I sometimes feel that the teabags have probably been sitting around for a while, and it's a long time since they saw any raspberry plants ...

I drank the tea with both previous DCs, but not too religiously ? am planning to go for it with DC3!

Thanks!

I don't know which is stronger but guess it would depend on how strong you make the tea. I didn't like the taste of the tea so used the tablets for that reason.

I think the tea is better (and I quite like the taste too which helps). I was recommended to drink it in it's purest form. Neal's Yard sells the actual dried leaves which is what I am drinking.

This is my first so am hoping it helps!!

Not sure on the strength but I took the tablets with both pgs and I am a firm believer that they work so make sure you take them/drink the tea as it's worth it IMO

I am on prescription tablets so I wouldn't take the oral form of RL but I am going for the tea version - I do hear that this is the most popular way of taking it. GL

when is the best time to start taking it?

Thanks all. NGUE, I'm wondering that too, as I'm impatient to get started! Don't want to bring on early labour or anything though! Most sources seem to say 32-34 weeks is fine, though I have seen 28 ... I'm 28 now but not quite going to risk it yet!

I asked at my health food shop and they recommended the loose tea rather than the bags as a lot of the bags have other herbie stuff mixed in (very technical term there!)
I read from 34 weeks starting with one cup a day and building up from there.
Not sure the freshness really matters TBH, it's tea not chicken! Once it's been dried it should keep for ages. I started the bag of tea I had left over from my pregnancy 2 years ago then bought a 'fresh' bag to carry on with.
Have no experience of the tablets and don't know what strength they come in.
