Is it HCG that causes pregnancy symptoms or other hormones?

Hcg makes the line appear, but it is the whole 'cocktail' that makes you feel bloody awful.

DO a regular test when your period is overdue!

Thanks Nicky - really there should be a line on that test by day 24 though shouldn't there?

I have no idea.

Never used the early ones myself, just about half a dozen regular ones (to make sure!).

GOod luck.

Progesterone rises in the 2ww before your period arrives and during pregnancy, both can make you feel pregnant. So it is easy to mistake pregnancy and pre-av symptoms.

testing on day 24 of your cycle due to "symptoms" and getting a negative, probrably means that your period will arrive in the next couple of days. Also it depends on many factors as to when you get a bfp. When you ovulate might be later, implantation might be later,,,,, there are no guarentees either way. But if you are feeling so many "symptoms", it would suggest your progesterone is rising, and not pregnancy related at this stage with a negative test.

Obviously you are keen to be pregnant, so I hope that you get a BFP in a few days time to go with the symptoms!

Thanks rainbow. My cycle is usually 28-32 ish days long I would say. My 'symptoms' are very specific and I do associate them very strongly with being pregnant but not at other times. It's more to do with the fact that I just 'feel' pregnant but I do agree, that it's easy to talk yourself in to it .
