With my first it was 24 weeks before I felt anything and it felt like gentle bubbles until she got bigger.

Hi Ginner, maybe the placenta is in a position that makes it more difficult for you to notice those first flutterings?

I am 24 weeks pregnant with DC3, and did not feel movement until quite late this being my third.

It was only when I went for my 20 week scan that I fonud out that my placenta was at the front acting as a cushion to all those early movements!

I would speak with your midwife for reassurance, but I am presumming its your first and with your placenta being low I am sure that is why you are feeling the sensation of movement as opposed to kicks iyswim?!?

That is what I felt first with this one, a kind of rolling, somersaulting sensation that would make my bump tighten!

Congrats by the way! x

I'm 22 weeks and am feeling some movement, although not nearly as much as with my first pregnancy at this stage and started feeling movements way later (around 20 weeks and much harder to notice).

As others have said, it could well be due to the position of the placenta which can muffle what you're feeling if it's in a particular position. This has been the case with my pregnancy this time around.

If it's really playing on your mind, why don't you have a word with your midwife. I'm sure she would be happy to chat with you about it.

Congrats!
