Should I bring my UK holiday at 33 weeks forward?

Hi,
A few weeks ago, I booked a self catering holiday, under a bit of pressure with availability disappearing, and since then a combination of my due date moving forward by a week and reflecting on it has got me wondering if I should bring it forward by a few weeks. There is availability for a different not so nice cottage, and the weather may be a bit more dodgy at the earlier date (but hey, it's the UK, who knows...)

I have a 2yo ds, and was a week late with him, but I honestly can't remember how I was feeling at 33 / 34 weeks - didn't have SPD or any particular problems though.

So, people who are in late pregnancy or can remember - would a holiday in the UK at 33 weeks be nice or too much hassle?

We went away when I was 34 weeks pg with my second - it was a great holiday - DH took my son off my hands a lot, the weather was lovely and it was a good break....I did take my maternity notes with me just in case, and made sure I knew where the local hospital was. If you feel well, and it's a straightforward pg then my view would be, go for it!

Sounds like just what you need at that point!!

Yes I would and I have. Paris when expecting dd at 34 weeks (last week the airline let me fly) dd arrived at 40+14. This time Haven (sun holiday ) at 33 weeks dd was 2.10 I'm now 40+9. I am lucky that I am very well, no problems in either pregnacy so for me there was no reason to stop me.

How far away from you is it? Couple of hours/straight forward route?

Thanks for the advice, glad to hear it's been an enjoyable break at this point! DH would be happy to take the lead with ds (he's been having plenty of practice as I've suffered badly with MS until just recently). We would be 3 - 4 hours away, so I guess could get home if we needed to but would work out what hospitals were close by just in case.

Go on holiday! I went to a training camp with my horse and stayed in a tent when I was 28 weeks, and my 3 main problems in no particular order were;

  1. Annoyance at horse for kicking water bucket over every 10 minutes.
  2. Difficulty getting my wellies on.
  3. Jealousy of other girls with their Bacardi and cokes.

I am going caravanning on the Isle of Wight with my mum and daughter this time round. I will be about 30 weeks.
