I'm currently 8w pregnant and up til now I've been really struggling. So sick I lost over half a stone in less than a week and have been living off cream crackers. Then in the last couple of days I feel completely different - still slightly queasy, but I haven't been sick, and can actually stomach proper food.
With my first pregnancy I was really sick up to 16w, but didn't stop completely until 20w.

I'm worried this is a bad sign, and something has gone wrong. Can anyone offer any advice?

It might just be that you are having a good couple of days. I tend to feel sick/not feel sick. It is worrying when the symptom is not there though!

Each pregnancy is different.

If you are concerned see your GP. Otherwise, make the most of being able to keep something down.

agree with allstarprincess - i used to have good days and bad days with my sickness. some days i couldn't stomach anything and other days i could eat pretty much normally.

Have you got a date for your scan? Or of you can't cope withthe worry until then see your GP who may be symapthetic and refer you for an early one. Hope everything works out X

Don't worry, I wasn't really sick at all during the pregnancy, was only sick about 7 times in total.

Each person is different.

Don't worry, or at least, try not to!

My MS stopped pretty much overnight at 8 weeks, my boobs deflated and even my tummy went smaller. MS was never bad like yours - just nausea but not throwing up.

It came back a bit a week later but not as strongly.

Just had a 12 week scan today, baby is big for dates and really strong heartbeat so all is well.

It is true that losing your symptoms can be a bad sign, BUT it's seldom so, and as I've shown it's often (usually) just fine.

Ask your MW if it's too early to hear the HB- may need to wait a week or so - but it would be reassuring.
