Night-light for breastfeeding

Hello,

Can anyone suggest a good bed-side lamp for breastfeeding in the night? A lot fo the ones I've seen plug directly into the mains which, for us, is on the floor, so I'd be leaning out all the tme to switch it on. Are there any with their own switches? And that I can dim very low?

Cheers.

Another person who late night fed with the TV on. I'm a scientist late night OU with subtitles suits me just fine.

Otherwise I have a dim arty light with an iridescent pinky purple shade. Think teen girl mood lighting. It has a remote as its main purpose is romantic lighting and no one wants to get out of bed to mess with lights in the middle of that.

Also brilliant for fairy lights, as our tree blocks the route to the plug

I have a thing for rabbits... so got this:www.amazon.co.uk/DotComGiftShop-23084-White-Rabbit-Night/dp/B0050O8EZO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437586447&sr=8-1&keywords=bunny+night+light can't say if it's any good or not as baby's still cooking but it's battery powered so you wouldn't have to lean down to the floor every time.

I normally use the light from my phone, there are lots of apps do a brilliant job so you don't actual need to buy a new lamp.

We have an LED light from B and Q. Was only £16 and is definitely one of my best baby buys.

You can select a colour or have it go through all the colours. Red is really quite dim so we would leave that on (when she was still sleeping in our room) so that we could see to get ready for bed.

Green/blue were brighter to see by (enough to feed by when youre still having to work at the latch) and white/normal light was bright enough to see by properly but I would say less bright than a normal light.

You simply tap the base to turn on/select a colour. Its really sensitive and easy. Honestly, Im so excited to get the chance to rave about it!!

I used to have a touch lamp that was also had a dimmer but uni roommates trashed it, I have only just remembered it and am wishing I still had it would be most useful for night feeds. I made DP sleep with his bedside lamp on all night every night for the first month of having DD home so that I could always see her and check her breathing constantly. Obviously couldn't have my side lamp on as it would be too bright for me dd in the cosleep cot! Very PFB of me

Have a look at the gro light, it fits into your normal lamp /ceiling light and you can switch between the nightlight function or the normal lightbulb just using the usual switch on you light, it's also dimmable. So far I have 2, one on my ceiling light in the nursery for night changes and one in my bedside light for feeds
