Restless arms & legs in late pregnancy

I'm 37 weeks now coming up to 38 and have suddenly developed a very strange symptom. As if sleeping weren't hard enough, now when I try to get to sleep my arms and legs (well arm and leg actually - it seems mostly left sided) get restless and jittery and I can't lie still no matter how tired I am. I've never heard of this as a symtpom of pregnancy before and was wondering if anyone else had experienced this?

I've got a homeopathic remedy for it which seems to help temporarily but it keeps coming back throughout the night - hence the reason I'm posting this at 3:30am!! Anyone have any tips or suggestions (other than having the baby of course!). Actually, that's not such a bad idea. I was told there's a lot of fluid aroudn the baby so he won't be in a hurry to come out early but do you think if I convince my midwife of just how miserable and uncomfortable I am she might be persuaded to induce me early?

Help, I just want to sleep!!!!

I've been unable to sleep for a few weeks now (31 weeks) and its a real killer isn't it. All you can think is how once the little one arrives you'll be up all night so you've got to get the most sleep now. So frustrating. I just can't get comfy and lately when I do sleep I wake up with really stiff and achy legs.

Nothing helpful to offer really except that it will all be over in a few weeks and although you will have a little alarm clock going off every few hours at least you'll feel more human in between times. Hang on in there. I think just about everyone gets uncomftable at the end. And I've never heard of this having loads of water meaning the baby won't want to come out thing. I'm sure she was pulling your leg. You never know - could be any time
