Because this is my 2nd baby he is definately going to come on time/ few days early - even though dd was overdue and he will slide right out - yes??? mums of more than 1 please share your stories.

DS 1 day late awful 15 hour labour and 2 units blood transfused and kidneys failing, 15 thousand stitches...

DD 6 days late BUT she popped out in 3 hours, no stiches and I was home the same day.

My mum had 4 - the 1st (me) hard long labour (9 days late) with stiches, 2nd (1 day late) much easier and quicker 3rd & 4th (twins on due date) not even gas and air and half hour labour.

DD1 - awful,pre-eclampsia,induced,pethidine,ventuose,episiotomy.

DD2 - 1 day early,8 hr labour,a bit of gas & air,easy delivery,no tears or stitches.

But every one is different.Good Luck!!

DD arrived at 38+6 weighing 6lb 6. Labour lasted 7 hours. DS arrived at 40+5 weighing 8lb 7 labour was probably a bit too quick at 3 houurs 5 mins!

DC1- 9 days late
DC2 - 3 days early

dd1 - 4 weeks late (long story)

ds - due date

That's my plan, Barbie... that's my plan...

DD1:
2 weeks late, induced, 51 hour labour, forceps delivery, third degree tearing and cervical and vaginal lacerations, 9lbs 8oz.

DD2 will be:
A couple of days before due date, natural labour, in water, just G&A, 4 hours labour 20 minutes pushing max., small scratch only, and, oh, around 8lbs.

I have decided. It will be thus.

DS1 10 days late went through hell and back !
DS2 born on due date a very easy labour.
DS3 5 days early. Water birth. Fantastic
DS4 6 days early. Home birth. very quick labour.
DS5 6 days early. Home birth. 2 hour labour.

DD- 5 days late, 48 hr 1st stage, 3 hr 2nd stage, ventouse, episiotomy. Left hosp for 2 days after the birth.

DS (DC2) - 3 days late. 1 hr 1st stage, 15 min 2nd stage. Left hosp 2 hrs after the birth.

In fact labour started at 40+3 with both but took about 40 times longer with DD!

1st baby: Ds was 10 days late, 40 hours of labor followed by emergencey cs.
2nd: Dd was 2.5 hours early, VBAC with 5.5 hours of labor

My second baby was a doodle to birth. All done from start to finish inside 45 mins, out in 3 pushes. No painkillers required at all. No stitches. A walk in the park! Much less overdue than dc 1 too.

DS2 induced on due date, no contractions on monitor, waters broken prior to syntocin, dr came in with the syntocin just after he was delivered 45 mins later! She smiled, said congratulations and backed out with her horrible drug unopened! DH said when he was born 'did you SEE that-he just SHOT out' I must only have pushed twice and on the second one he was propelled to the end of the bed. (and he was nearly 9lbs)

Now just don't get me started on DS3's labour, I would stop at 2 if I were you.

DD - who was DC2 came 5 days before her due date with a very speedy 7 hour labour

DS - 1 week before due date with a 2 day labour

Ds1 was a week late, ds2 was a week early and arrived in 1 hour 40 minutes after about 10 contractions.

Mind you, the 19 hour one was more enjoyable

DC1 - 38+2: 5 hour labour (2 hours pushing)
DC2 = 41+1: 5 hour labour (20 mins trying not to push in car on way to hospital!).

Ohh, I'm 37+5 now and am WILLING this one to come at say 38+5 - that would suit me FINE. And a comfortable labour (not 1 hour - that's a bit TOO fast - but less than the 30 hrs I had with DC1 thanks very much!) and all hunky dory.

I'm telling myself positive thinking is the answer here...

my DS was on due date and an easy one for sayin was my 1st.. 6hr labour but from waters breaking wasnt in any pain.. mw was in such amuzement as she said i looked so relaxed.. prob the pethadin lol.. my DD was 2 weeks early, i had contractions but wasnt in any pain till 2pm had her by 3pm with only gas n air.. lol.. my DS 1 deg tear my DD nothing was home by 8.30pm..
this one i have no idea but hope labour its as easy as my other 2..

Hehehe! I was 5 days over with DC1, 9 days over with DC2 and induced at 12 days over with DC3

However, each labour was around half the time of the previous one (18 hours, 9.5 hours and 4.5 hours respectively)

My 2nd son one week before the due and had him in two hours. It was an easy labour but then again every child is different and so is the labour too!

my dc2 was 3 weeks early and born in under 15 mins.

DD , VBAC, biorn on her due date , 3 hours 15 mins established labour, but 15 hours latent stage

dd1 born on due date 6 hour labour

dd2 born 11 days early 3 hour labour.

Is that more what you wanted to hear?

DS 11 days early about 8 hour labour but horrible really involving forceps, low heartrate, pph then me being sewn up in theatre and then blood transfusion after 2nd degree tear

DD 4 days late but quite OK lasting about 6.5 hours and only a tiny graze. Late definitely better in this case.
