Hi I am nearly 8wks and I am craving CocaCola so badly!
I don't normally like it when not pg but i keep wanting it. I had some earlier today and it tasted heavenly.
Is it really bad for the baby and will i need to stamp on this craving now - btw i have really bad nausea and it helped a lot!

Have you had your iron levels checked? The caffeine restrictions were borne out of research which indicated that caffeine depletes the body of iron (caffeine has many bebeneficial effects too).

This research has been badly absorbed into pregnancy advice. If your iron levels are good, you have nothing to fear from caffeine.

There are some 'rules' I rigidly stick too; ttoxoplasmosis risks, listeria risks etc but this for me is not a risk. I have one or two cups of real coffee a day.

One or two cups of coffee a day is within the limits though.
