Anybody else?
So tired could fall asleep at the drop of a hat and feeling like an old age pensioner. Can't bend down, get up from the floor, in fact anything that involves any effort.
What is wrong with me? DH says it's cos I'm getting old, only 30 ffs!!!

I'm 32 yrs old and 30weeks gone. I feel exactly like you. I get up at 7am with my dd and have to go lie down at 11am. I want to go to bed at 9pm every night, my back kills and I think i've pulled loads of muscles in my ribs somehow. I was heathy before I got pregnant. Cant wait to give birth

Humpty do you think you could be aneamic?

Its a prime time (25 weeks) for your Hb to get a bit low.

I had my booking in bloods done late (long story) at 23 + weeks and they came back as 10. I have started taking Spatone as I need to get them up to have a home birth.

You will have bloods done again at 28 weeks but it might be worth uping your iron intake in the meantime.

This is my 5th pg. I get the tiredness you describe right at the beginning but not usually at this stage (I am 25 weeks today ). Mind you I do go to bed stupidly early.

But then I am 42 so am postitvely ancient

humptynumpty · 26/12/2009 20:36

hadn't thought of that. Will dig out multivitamins and eat more iron rich foods to see if that helps.
victoria feel for you, that's exactly like me!

I've had a Christmas cold plus am 27 weeks
Am drained and can barely bend over
I feel so much older this time (36), it's my 3rd, and I am really feeling it

humptynumpty · 26/12/2009 20:42

darrell this is my 3rd too, don't remember being so tired before. And the last time I was working as well. Honestly if I just lay on sofa all day, I would find it too exhausting!!!

also when its time for your bloods at 28 weeks, might be worth asking for a thyroid function test - its probably normal but extreme exhaustion is a symptom so if having blood tests anyway no harm in having additonal test.

I blame picking up all the toys that my other children leave around
I don't remember feeling like this either
I thought people who took mat leave before 38 weeks were wimps.
Now I'm dreaming of the earliest date I can get away with
and then lying on the sofa all day
I can't imagine how I'm going to cook meals for the family for the next 3 months , seems insurmountable
