Bleeding at almost 20 weeks, can anyone advise me?

I'm 19+3, just passed some very dark brown blood and a small clot, I'm a bit concerned. I had bleeding from about 6 - 9 weeks, I had a scan and the baby was absolutely fine, so I think the blood was coming from my cervix (but this wasn't confirmed by a midwife or anything) it eventually tailed off and stopped, nothing since, baby fine at 12 week scan.

So it's probably my cervix again (I went shopping today, pushed ds and heavy shopping up a few hills etc) but it has really shaken me up, should I call my midwife or just see how it goes, do you think?

hope your ok

Hi, saw my GP this morning, she said she wanted me to be checked by the hospital just to rule out a low lying placenta, so went along to the hospital, they checked me over and said they could see a cervical erosion (phew!) and they could hear the baby's heartbeat, so they're pretty sure that's where the bleeding has come from and it's not a problem. I have my 20 week scan next week so they'll be able to see the position of the placenta then.

Thanks everyone for your support yesterday

Glad to hear everything's OK James, I hope you're feeling more relaxed now

Thanks, I do feel more relaxed, it's good to have it properly diagnosed. Unfortunately with overdoing it yesterday and then lying with knees apart for the examination earlier my spd has kicked off again, owww. Hope things are going ok for you!

Meant to say yesterday JodieO, so sorry to hear of your 5 mc's, that must have been so heartbreaking for you.

I really think you should go in too, just to get it checked. Can you get a taxi to A+E and then get someone to pick you up after?

Sorry, didn't read right to the end of the thread. So glad everything is ok now, and it was just the cervical erosion.

Glad everything is okay.
My heart sank when I read your first message as I mc'd at 20 weeks after pushing a double buggy up a hill.
