Titles says it all really! Am nearly 36wks and very whingy!!

Getting fed up with being so achy the whole time.... mainly in my hips, back, knees and shoulders am guessing its normal and just due to being a huge heavy lump...... But does get me down a bit that everyday things like getting up from the sofa and putting my socks on are such an effort!!

Sure its all perfectly normal so I guess I'm just wanting someone to tell me that once the baby's born I'll feel as light as a feather and (aside from the piles and stitches and other lovely left overs from the birth) I'll actually be lots more comfy......please???

Oh yes definitely!

Then you will miss your bump

Southwestwhippet · 20/12/2009 21:35

Oh, I feel exactly the same, I'm 36 weeks and I'm just soooo bloody uncofortable all the time.

Can't wait to feel light and springy again (and be able to put my trainers on without making horrid groaning noises).

jadey24 · 20/12/2009 21:37

You will feels tons more comfy. Sore but comfy

YanknChristmasCrackers · 20/12/2009 21:39

Even after an EMCS, I felt like a million bucks compared to being pregnant!

Hang in there...everyone says this part goes fast, but I think they're talking bollocks. It's a slow crawl to the finish line, but you can do it....whinge away here if you need to!

stressheaderic · 20/12/2009 22:28

Another one here feeling completely fat, achey and pathetic. Takes ages to do anything, even turning over in bed is a faff and the thought of walking upstairs kills me. And I'm only 30 weeks! Ages to go!
Can't wait to feel like busy old me again.

hurrydownthechimneytonight · 21/12/2009 07:38

yankn I was hoping the last months would fly by..... On a plus note dont they say the christmas week is the fastest week of the year........

I too am looking forward to being able to roll over in bed without waking and groaning along with it!

Deemented · 21/12/2009 08:09

Oh i sooo feel your pain.

I'm 36 weeks and i can't get comfortable at all. Can't wait to have my body back, tbh..

SmacOnTheLipsUnderTheMistletoe · 21/12/2009 08:41

oh I could have written that post except I'm only 30 weeks!
No piles to moan about but terrible heartburn along with aches, pains, no energy and feeling huge, fat and uncomfortable oh and a toddler to run around after and a husband who works LONG shifts!
I don't understand when women say they miss their bump. With DD I was just so relieved she was out and I can't wait for this one to come out either.
MrsMc82 you will feel better soon.

ErikaMaye · 21/12/2009 09:49

Oh God yes. I had my little man nearly six weeks ago, and although I'm more tired than I've ever been in my life - the relief!!! He's snoring in my lap currently soppy still-hormonal proud mummy emotion

Dee how are you?

Flame · 21/12/2009 10:08

I am holding a 9 week old and vividly remember where you are! (as will most of MN from all my whinging

Baby comes out, heartburn is instantly gone, you can see your toes, you can bend in the middle to reach the taps in the bath

MrsMc82 · 21/12/2009 20:08

Aw thaks ladies you've made me feel much happier - no comfier - but definitely happier!!!

Hey EM - long time no see!!! How is your little man? I'm ok, developed GD, and it's quite out of control so have been told today that they will be happy for me to have baby any time from 29th December onwards!

ErikaMaye · 22/12/2009 10:12

He's good thanks - and soooo handsome. I am of course not biased He's been putting on a pound a week for the past few weeks - my poor nipples!!! Sorry to hear about the GD Are you booked in for a CS then?

Fibilou · 22/12/2009 11:29

I feel generally OK (35+3) but cannot wait to be able to sleep on my tummy and get out of the bath with ease

AgentZigzagDoingAYuleLog · 22/12/2009 12:00

Thanks for the thread and for flames reassurance

I'd forgotten how uncomfortable it all is and was wondering the same. At 38 wks, even though I love DD2 being snug in there and her wriggling showing she's OK, I'm really looking forward to being 'free'!

I'm sure it's natures way of making the hard work of looking after a new baby easier cos you're just so relieved to be able to move again
