After a couple of near misses we decided to start TTC number 3 this month. In both my other pregnancies I have suffered with hyperemesis and have been sick all the way through until I give birth. With DS it didnt really start until 5 weeks but with DD I was sick the day before I tested (but put it down to eating too much over christmas!).

Anyway my period is not due until saturday. Every night this week, since Sunday, I have started feeling sick in the afternoons and then by the evening I have been physically sick after eating dinner. Its definitely a morning sickness type thing - where you feel awful but are alright in yourself (and often I end up eating again later ).

Surely it is too soon for symptoms?! I took a test just in case but negative - it would be far too soon. Period due saturday or sunday I think.

Am I going mad? Some kind of very strange bug? Surely its too early or have others experienced this? I am worried if it is morning sickness just how bad it will get.

Thank you - I think . DS spent half the night wandering the house and DD woke at 5 am screaming. When I went to get her I tripped over DS sleeping outside our door as he is not allowed into bed with us before 6 am. Must remember to leave him a blanket there

showofhands - absolutly no idea why

Congratulations Peppa!

At least we have each other for sympathy/coping tips. I do worry for my other children, and think may even take some drugs this time if it's bad, just for their sake.

I think we must be mad!

girlsyearapart · 04/12/2009 22:12

god no Peppa. Irrational.

And every time we are having lovely conversations about the 3rd one of the little blighters angels we've already got wakes/plays up.

In fact we are planning on 4.. That's if 3 ever happens!

peppapighastakenovermylife · 05/12/2009 08:03

girlsyearsapart they have a habit of doing that don't they. Mine haven't slept since we stopped using contraception. I might inform them I am pregnant just so they can stop trying to prevent it and go back to sleep . Four? Now thats just madness

vanload I am going to keep my fingers crossed for you. I have thought about medication too this time around and think I will ask. The last two times I just about coped (wasnt hospitalised) as I lived on lucozade - bottles and bottles of it and it kept me just dehydrated / only ketones a few times. Still lost 2 stone each time though. Problem I have is that it last the whole pregnancy so I think (seeing how I am ) when I get to 12 weeks I will definitely ask for medication if its bad this time.

Fingers crossed!

Congrats peppa!

girlsyearapart · 05/12/2009 10:12

I do reserve the right to stop at 3 though

WickedWitchSouthWest · 06/12/2009 22:38

[makes note to get lucozade]

Crazycatlady · 07/12/2009 14:00

I was about to post saying yes with both pregnancies felt sick before BFP (in that gnawing empty stomach kind of a way but not actually vomiting) but then I saw you've got a BFP, congratulations!

Come join us on the due August thread...

peppapighastakenovermylife · 07/12/2009 19:19

wickedwitch - seriously it was the only thing that kept me upright. Not the sports stuff but the old fashioned lemon stuff. Bottles and bottles of it and haribo sweets (the jelly babies). Must have kept my blood sugar up and me just about dehydrated. My dentist made a very cats bum face though

crazycatlady will do. Am so useless this time around that I'm glad you pointed out I am due in August

lol at dr pulling catsbumface I'm currently addicted to raw cubes of jelly (tangerine flavour) so maybe sugar is the way forward Maybe I just need lots of orange things?

how are you feeling? hope the sickness isn't too bad...

peppapighastakenovermylife · 08/12/2009 08:32

I am ok. By that I mean I am being sick two or three times a day which to me is very good at the minute. I feel very dizzy and spaced out though which I haven't had before.

Saying that I am only 4 and a bit weeks so I am expecting it go get worse. How are you feeling?

I was feeling sick what felt like weeks before my BFP... Is that a good sign or not? I seem to feel sick when I've got an empty stomach. I'm about 4 weeks now and over analysing everything!

kezmarie · 03/01/2017 20:33

Are we really dragging up threads from 2009???

88claire · 03/01/2017 20:39

Whoops didn't realise it was so old. Nevermind.
