Sleep support pillows

I'm 26 weeks and am finding it really hard to get comfortable in bed. Seem to be waking up every half hour having to change sleeping position. Between that and needing to pee and the cat climbing all over me, I'm really not sleeping well at all I've looked at maternity support pillows; the Dream Genii (£45)seems to be popular, but Mothercare also have a cheaper one (£30). Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Caitni and Goldensnith, I tried that. It works ok, but it's not ideal. The dream genii does help me sleep though - I'm not bashing it completely! I'd be lost without it, when it comes to actually getting off to sleep in the first place.

whensmydayoff - oh, I dream of being able to sleep on my back. I never thought I'd look forward to something that seems so trivial.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Sounds like what works for one person might not work for others... I had a look in the shops and bought a "Big V" full body pillow (can also be used for BF later on). It felt really comfy in the shop, as it is full (understuffed, actually), with beads rather than usual pillow fillingy stuff. I think it has helped; I'm still waking up, but not as often. Maybe just have to get used to it a bit. Only problem is my husband takes up 55-60% of the bed (he's not fat, just a bed-hog!), and the pillow takes up about 10%, so now I only have 30% . As I get bigger I may just have to squish DH with the pillow. Or with my bump
Interesting about keeping your hips aligned, Firsttimer. I've always slept with one knee "out front", and didn't realise it was a bad idea atm. I've been putting the pillow under my top knee to keep my bump from squishing into the bed so much, but will have to see if I can keep my knees better aligned..

I bought a bolster from Dunelm and it did the trick. I also had a Mothercare wedge that was useful in bed, but also in the car and at my desk. Hope you're able to get some uninterrupted sleep soon!

Whensmydayoff your post was hilarious...though hope you get some rest soon (and hope I'm not in the same boat at 35 weeks!).

I think Whensmydayoff has it about right..

36 weeks PG, not slept (properly) in weeks, dodgy hip, sore back, 2.7 yr old - TOTALLY fed up!

So glad I only have 3 or 4 weeks left. Never thought I'd be looking forward to a c-section!

Oh and the vivid dreams are bastards too - can I not have just one that doesn't involve DS getting seriously hurt!?
