Please don't worry, I'm sure you will be fine but keep trying the midwife to set your mind at rest. I had the jab on Weds last week and it doesn't seem to have affected my babys movements at all, although I am further along than you. Have you tried lying on your back and prodding your tummy?

lucy101 · 24/11/2009 15:57

If it helps - mine had a couple of quiet days last week... and then started kicking again much harder at the weekend.

Apparently at this stage they can turn around and start kicking towards the back and you can't feel it so strongly... it is bound to be something like that that if it helps put your mind at rest but do keep trying your midwife.

I had the jab and all ok - sure you are too. Take care - I know how worrying it can be.

Exactly the same happened to me . . I had swine flu jag and next day had no movement. Got myself into a panic, phoned midwife and ended up at the hospital. Was put on monitor . . as soon as I went on monitor heart was beating away quite happily and baby started moving!! Was told that at 35 weeks there's less space for baby to move and will prob feel movements less . .it was only because it coincided with jag I got myself into a panic!

mummyofthomas · 24/11/2009 18:26

Hi ya, I was thinking exactly the same as you a couple of days ago. Baby kicking like mad then had swine flu jab and had no movement from lunch time until I went to bed and again in the last couple of days baby seems to like frightening me by not moving for ages and then kicking like crazy. But I think my paranioa is getting the better of me and I'm sure that baby is fine. Hope midwives have put your mind at rest and that all is well with you and baby

sherby · 24/11/2009 18:37

eekk still no moving baby, since 9.00 this morning

Didn't get hold of mw, she was engaged for ages and then the out of hours answering message came on

I just know if I phone the emergency number they will tell me to come down for monitoring and as soon as I do, baby will kick for England.

And I have scan tomorrow, I could just wait till then couldn't I?

Have you tried going for a bath? With some relaxing music on?

sherby · 24/11/2009 18:44

Yep wiggled and jiggled and poked and laid still. And this is 3rd baby so have been feeling movements since about 15 wks.

Might try bath or phone mw and see if she thinks I should wait till scan tomorrow?

They will be super understanding - they see women worried about no movements all the time. I'm sure they're more than happy to be able to reassure a worried woman.

lol off to the hospital we go

FabIsNotFab · 24/11/2009 19:03

Good luck.

YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE LESS MOVEMENTS JUST BECAUSE THERE IS LESS ROOM.

ANY change in movements to less or more needs checking.
