Hi all, i found out i was preg just 2 weeks ago after coming back from a girlie holiday to Vegas. I am 7 weeks gone and am feeling really well in myself. I've had no nausea or sickness and my boobs have grown yet aren't aching or anything. Because i don't really feel any different i want to pee on a stick every morning just to check im still up the duff! Am i just really lucky having no sickness or should i be worried?? Am feeling bad as i have prob drowned the poor thing in vodka already!! Advice please..........

I had no symptoms at all. At my 8 week scan I was convinced there was nothing there. AT 12 i MADE them scan because i was so worried since I still I had no symptoms. At 20 weeks I was still convinced it must have died... Everyone says I should be grateful for no sickness - but I know that you just want to FEEL pregnant don't you? Trust me, am now 28 weeks and in pain in pelvis and finding sleep really hard through discomfort and being kicked by gorgeous baby. When you're at this point the lack of symptoms at the start just fades into distant memory!

Try not to worry about the vodka - loads of people drink lots before they know.

Congratulations!!! It's a wonderful thing to be carrying our little ones x

Congratulations!

Don't panic! My morning sickness didn't kick in until I was about 9-10 weeks, unfortunately it stayed for the majority of my pregnancies! Everyone is different, i know a few ladies who have never been sick at all.....hope everything continues to go well.

I'm 6/2 weeks and so far any symptoms have felt very mild. Kept expecting lots of nausea but apparently most women in the family haven't! Don't particularly want to be v ill but it would certainly make it seem more real ...

Don´t worry, everyone is different. It´s just that everyone talks about morning sickness so I think most people expect it. Maybe those of us who are lucky enough to escape it just keep quiet! I had no morning sickness at all and no "pregnancy symptoms" in the early stages of either of my last two pregnancies. The only things I noticed, finally, was that I was growing a bump, but that was well after the 12 week scan. You will feel pregnant soon enough, enjoy it, you really don´t want to feel horrid.

Congratulations!

Congratulations too on the lack of morning sickness, lucky lady!

I read somewhere that only 50% of women get morning sickness anyway (I didn't - got awful heartburn in the third trimester instead)

I also had times in the pregnancy when I felt very un-pregnant. My friend felt so un-pregnant she convinced herself that the scan would show no baby and the Dr would be cross with her for wasting everyone's time! But of course there was a baby, no one got cross .

And, I didn't suspect I was pregnant at first and my poor LO got a bit of a soaking too. He is a healthy 11 month old little boy now.

As an aside can I just recommend the Rough Guide to Pregnancy and Birth. I really enjoyed reading it while I was pregnant. It's written in a really down to earth, and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny way. It also has week by week bit describing what's happening to the baby and your body. You might recognise some symptoms in these bits that you hadn't realised were due to pregnancy. All sorts of strange stuff happens to your body!

I had no symptons either with ds1 and although I knew I was pg, even tests said i wasn't until I was 4 1/2m gone.

whippybamboo · 23/11/2009 11:13

I didn't have any symptoms but then it started in about week 7, but I think everyone is different....be grateful that you don't have morning sickness etc....I have been feeling awful

My friend is PG at the moment. She had no morning sickness at all last time round. She has terrible morning sickness this time. Every pregnancy is different. Your concern is totally understandable, but please try not to worry too much, it's also completely possible that having no symptoms right now is just what this pregnancy is like. Can you talk to the Dr / midwife to get reassurance?

dragonrides · 24/11/2009 00:15

I am 8 weeks pregnant now, I have the same question - I did feel a little upset in my stomach the first few weeks (that's what got me thinking maybe I'm pregnant), but never had that feelings again ever since, of course I am far away from mission complete. It's good to know someone had the same "problem"

mozza40 · 24/11/2009 09:46

thanks for feedback! had balls to talk to partner about worries last night, he has same worries, feel loads better having honest talk with him. just got in touch with midwife who is fantastic, she delivered my last ywo children at home. Am going to see her tmz and earl scan tmz afternoon feel loads better! just got to negotiate getting there (am in west cumbria and effected by numerous road closures ect ) but will get there xx didnt know there were mums who felt the same
