baby movements

Okay just having a minor wobble and wanted some reassurance. Am 29weeks +2 and bub in last few days has been going nuts- wriggling almost all day long and a considerable increase in her usual pattern of movements. But today she has quietened down a lot. She is defo still moving about in there but she seems a lot calmer than she was and not kicking about as much, I know there isn't much rhyme or reason to baby movements but just the change worried me slightly but I don't think it has worried me enough to phone the labour ward so thought I would post on here for some reassurance about how normal it is. (if I wasn't feeling her move at all obv I would be down to the hospital asap)
Ta.

I think as a rule any change in movements are supposed to be checked.

That said, when pg with dd she went a bit crazy for a couple of days around 30 weeks and then settled down. Transpired she'd been getting herself into a head down position, was fixed and engaged from 31 weeks so I assume in retrospect that she was just trying to get comfortable.

yeah yesterdays movements were all transverse as she was kicking both sides of my bump- todays she is at a slight jaunty angle but more downwards so I suppose maybe she now has a bit more room so am feeling a bit less. Am defo getting my ten movements an hour- but they are more gentle waltzes than "smack my bitch up"
!
Hmm will have a sugary drink and sit for a bit and monitor them and maybe just call in just to report it just to be on safe side (especially as Midwife at appt on Wed was very strict with me and told me to phone if worried and she hated it when women didnt phone in because they didnt want people to think they were being silly or overreacting).

With DS3, who is now 11 months, I had a day when he woke me early going mad in my tummy and was still going at 5pm. It had been constant all day so I rang the unit.

They told me they usually have you in with the belt on for lessened movements but as it had been all day I was called up.

Belt was put on and his readings were coming out fine so I was sent home after 90mins of monitoring.

When he was born, 3 weeks later, there was old meconium in the water and his nails and hair were stained orange where he had been festering in it for some time.

MW said he must have passed it a couple of weeks earlier for him to be that stained by it - his hair didn't come clean for about 3 washes.
I am sure it was the day he was thrashing uncontrollably, though no one could give a reason/idea as to why.

I would just ring them and tell them what's going on and see what they say?

Haha I think she knew we were talking about her- just had a few reassuringly big kicks. I think she is fine but will keep an eye on it overnight.
