can being violently sick in pg cause piles?

Because I think that has just happened

Suffered from HG all through pg, in last couple of weeks, so guess due any time.

Been chucking up all day. Now have acid.

I have had for a while what i thought might be piles, but not too sure, not painful. but like a lumpy bit between anus and vagina? Aaaaanyway....that is a lot bigger now after a violent vomitting session. And my bowels feel quite pressured. But the 'swollen' area does not hurt, although feels uncomfortable. Is this piles?

I guess you could be dehydrated becuase of the vomiting, and that would make it harder to poo, so could cause piles.

I have poo'd today though, and it was fine. No problems there.

Just this little swollen bit by my backside now feels much more swollen. Feels like a vein or something?

Being pregnant in itself can cause piles, all that baby weight pressing down, and I would guess that a violent bout of vomiting might make things feel worse perhaps...? (Even coughing can make things worse for me, put it that way!) So not necessarily the vomiting therefore, but the whole kit and kaboodle probably? Poor you tho, being sick is horrible, piles probably feels like insult being added to injury, but it does sound like thats what it is(disclaaimer - I have piles but no medical expertise!)

I do feel rather sorry for myself. I have just reached the end of my tether with it all.

Luckily I have some anti-emetics and some omeprozol or whatever its called to reduce the stomach acid. I completely forgot until I vomited some blood and then remembered the doc gave me some last time for times such as this.

Blimey, get to the end of my second pg, with no constipation, and still get bloody piles. Will they go away on their own or do i need to talk to gp?

Its more than understandable that you feel low. Pregnancy is so bloody hard isnt it? I guess it depends on your gut feeling but I would probably see how the piles are once you have had the baby, a lot of things settle down then. I was never constipated either, sadly the baby weight alone can do it. Sounds like you have had a rough ride tho, so things can only get better! Good luck with it all.

Thanks iblamethePMT appreciate your kindness. I shall wait and see what happens once this baby arrives. Hope it does not interfere with the whole giving birth experience . If its still around afterwards, will talk to MW/doc.

Hmmm. Can get into TMI territory here Im afraid! But since you asked...if it feels like something has popped out so to speak, pop it in again with a finger. Else you cant beat a bit of piles cream! (Anusol or Germoloids) They come with a local anaesthetic so will help external soreness/swelling too. Joys of being female, eh...

My piles at least got no worse giving birth to number 2 I can reassuringly say!
