I packed way too much last time. DS was my first baby and I had no clue what to take so I took everything!!

This time, I just seem to have a mental block when it comes to deciding what to take... Help!!

I'm having an elective c-section - what do I need in my hospital bag?

try and make sure it is all easily accessible. for example put each individual outfit (vest, babygro, nappy) in a little bag so your DH (or one of the mw's) can just grab a bag when they need to change the baby rather than rooting all through the bag.

and make sure your DH puts the things you will need overnight in easy reach before he goes home the first night!!

the ear plugs are good for when your DH/DP is there and you want to sleep but can't because of noisy ward - them and an eye mask and you can sleep. Without worrying about not waking for baby as your partner can wake you if you need to be.

BIG BIG BIG pants - after my section my bum/legs swelled hugely and couldn't get my knickers past my knees!!! was awful, My wonderful mum went out and brought some really cheap HUGE granny knickers - were a lifeaver and came up way above scar!!! I never never expected to swell there!

Tried to go big pants shopping today but cut my trip short as I was in absolute agony with my pelvis!

My tummy swelled again after my EMCS. I looked just as pregnant afterwards as I did before. Definitely going to need BIG pants.
