When will my bump start to show? Impatient!

Just wondering when I'm likely to see my bump begin to appear? I'm 8+5weeks with my first and am still a size 8-10. I look rather bloated but is that actually the start of baby bump!?

hello, I am 15+2 and I think my bump is just about showing. Even though some times it just disapears and all i am left with is my ever growing and huge bum . I am loving being pregnant, and cant wait to find ou what it is in 3 and half weeks. Exiting.x

Hello first1, congrats on the pg!

I suppose it depends on your natural figure - for PG1 I finally showed at 5 months and for PG2 it was about 5 weeks (slight exaggeration) but at about 8 weeks I felt a lot more comfortable in jeans with elasticated waists!

The bumps did appear to have spurts as well as fiziwizzle says. I'd go into work and people would comment that it had grown in the night!!!

I'm 15+4 and I can feel a bump and on some days I look pregnant others I just look fat. I'm also in the wonderful phase of not fitting into my clothes comfortably but not big enough for maternity wear. Can't wait to get bigger (bump wise not bum wise - thats big enough already!).

With my DS I didnt have a "bump" til about 17-18 weeks, pre pregnancy size 8 (or a 6 depending on store clothes bought from), however by the time I was 25 weeks I was massive! From behind you wouldnt know I was pregnant then I would turn around and my bump would block out sunlight!
DS was a very healthy 7lb9oz born at 39+6.

Enjoy watching your bump grow! I used to get DP to take a side profile pic every week just so we could watch the bump grow on a slide show (very PFB but I still well up watching it)

glasgowlass that's really nice you have ll those pics of your bump growing. I did not have a single pic of me pregnant with DS1 which was not intentional but it just hapenede that way. Pics seemed to be of faces or of boobs up! With DS2 I have some - not many but at least I'll be able to say "that was when I was pregnant with you"

I am almost 16 weeks pg with my 1st, and in my mind I am just looking a bit fat. My tummy is a lot larger than usual, but not a definate baby bump yet. Will be on its way soon I guess.

I'm 22+5 and I don't think I started getting a definite bump until about 19 weeks. Before then it would sort of come and go, always being bigger in the evening (bloating I suppose), but I looked more like I was just a bit fat! This is my first pregnancy, and I also had quite strong stomach muscles which may have held it in until now.

Im 14+1 with baby number 5 and dont look any different, but when I lie down and prod..I can feel the top of my womb and MW easily picked up the HB yesterday with the doppler..I have just bought myself some looser, trousers, but hate that in between stage when you cant quite get into your jeans but are not ready for maternity clothes

i was 22 weeks when i had a bump with ds1 and a complete flat tum until then the joys of being only 20yso
16 weeks with ds2 but had a rounded bloated tum (i knew it wasnt a bump) from 9+wks

of course before those dates my clothes felt a bit tight and uncomfortable and now with my 3rd(6wks) im feeling quite bloated have a rounded tum but its not a baby bump cos its all gone when i lie down so its just all my insides going wild

Am like MrsDm - nothing until about 17 weeks with DD1, earlier with DS and DD2. AM now 7 weeks with 4th and just feeling fat, despite giving up drinking which usually makes me lose a few pounds and feel much flatter right away. But already unable to suck my (admittedly rather plump) belly in as I could 7 weeks ago. Wouldn't call it a bump but there is a definite change in shape.

I was aout 26 weeks with first and 24 weeks with second, and even then i was small

i went into maternity trousers at 12 weeks. (am pg with my 1st)
despite loosing 1 stone with HG between weeks 6 - 9!

I still just looked fat though.

Im now 18 weeks and have a real obviouse, no doubt that im pg bump.

A few of my friends have been in normal clothes until 20 weeks with 1st, and one friend had no idea she was pg even at 30 weeks. Even when she went to Dr, Dr didnt even suggest it

hey, no bump here whatsoever and am 15 weeks, am getting slightly concerned now..... I have mw appointment next week but not sure if they look for heartbeat or not?
I was told that I would have a small bump as I have a very long body and am tall but thought I would at least be able to feel a bit different x

Around about 18 weeks I started getting a mini bump - with both dd1 and now with this second pregnancy too (am 22wks now). Be patient, it will come.

I was on edge for my 20 wk scan, thinking what could be in there as bump was so small but all was fine and measurements were perfect!

Bump is now growing fast though so be prepared from week 20 onwards it's all go (IMO)!!!

3 weeks before my due date the blinds fitter didn't realise I was pregnant. (moron) I had a smallish bump with no waddle right up to the end. I have a long torso though so plenty of space to hide.

Hey that's is exactly like me! I have a very long torso so guess it is hiding away! At least I hope so. Only 5 weeks until 20wk scan........such a waiting game! Am off to London today and really want to start buying things for things for the baby but don't want to jinx it :-( x

I get bloated early on, usually wind related though and gone by morning. This time I have left a stupidly short gap between my pregnancies and hadn't had chance to tone up after DS so have started to bump up earlier (alot) than other 2 pregnancies. I am 16 weeks and have a bump, probably only been noticable for a week or so though.
With my 1st I went into meternity pants at about 25 weeks, because my usual jeans were a bit tight, with my 2nd a bit earlier but not much, with this one I will probably be in them before 20 weeks as I only have 2 pair of trousers that fit and one of those is getting to the point where the button has to be released mid morning.
