Had scan today, we are 12 weeks exactly according to the scan. Baby was really active which we never saw in the scans we had with Lottie. His or her arms and legs were going mad, all over the place, it was great
So due date is 22 Dec, 5 days after Lottie turns 4 . Great birthday and Xmas present rolled into one!

I've lurked on some of your threads and followed the story of TC junior so felt it was rude not to finally say I'm so pleased for you. I also had dd and ds at QC's and have very happy memories of it (apart from one particular mw but let's not spoil the mood!)

Magic

Something extra special about Christmas babies (well, you know that already). Ds2 was due on the 23rd December but arrived early on the 7th. We now put up Christmas on the evening of the 6th - so he gets up on his birthday and the house is transformed.

Lovely! They might even have the same birthday, which would be amazing.
There is obviously a time of year when you are super-fertile Miss TC

hunkermunker · 10/06/2005 11:54

Lovely, TC!

Whereabouts are you having the baby? I know you said you're booked into the active birth centre, but which one?

Titania · 10/06/2005 12:04

Congratualtions. Glad all is well. Really pleased for you x x x x

Thomcat · 10/06/2005 16:46

Thank you girls

Hunkermunker, booked into Queen Charlotte's, they have a birthing unit. Just been told by them that I can have the same midwife look after me throughout entire pregnancy so over the moon. I'll ring her when I go into labour and she said if when she arrives with me and I'm already well established she'll help me deliver at home, or she'll come with me to the birth unit and deliver him or her there I am totally over the moon

Brilliant TC!

Have been looking out for you since you joined the Nov thread for a short period, so glad everything worked out well, it was a really worrying time for you, I can't believe it!

Bloody hell, but you'll have to take a small loan out each December!!

Only joking - aw, it'll be wonderful!! xx x

hunkermunker · 10/06/2005 18:47

Fantastic, TC! Sounds wonderful.

I'm going to Hillingdon again, I think. Not 100% sure though - did you ask to go to QC or was it offered and if so, was it a difficult to persuade them? Soz - so many questions!

BeachedWhale · 10/06/2005 19:36

Congratulations Thomcat. Wonderful news. Had DD at QC on 23rd Dec just gone and had the most wonderful birth and fab midwife there. Then had the most wonderful and fab Xmas day. It is a really special time of the year to be expecting a new baby.

Thomcat · 10/06/2005 20:50

It will be an expensive time of year for sure, but it is lovely as well and I do so hope bubs is here in time for Xmas day.

HM - Queen Charlottes was offered actually, but last time with Lottie I was put down to go to Northwick Park and I told them no that I wanted to go to Watford and booked myself into the birthing unit there. If you fancy QC (and it is really lovley and a v good hospital) and if you want a birthing unit, not a maternity ward in the main hospital then try that angle??

hunkermunker · 11/06/2005 21:28

TC, I may talk to my GP re that - I'm going to see what they say at Hillingdon re my chances for another water birth there - they don't do that many and I don't know why

My bro and sis were born at QC over 20 years ago and it was lovely then too!
