Hi, Im just over 23 weeks and have been fine up until now. I have a good varied diet and take good quality vitamin pills so don't think it's iron levels.
Im worried because I was showing signs of pre-eclampsia last PG, high blood pressure and oedemea but before they admitted me I went into labour at 37 wks and had EMSC.
It just started today while a friend was in. The whole room started to move and I suddenly had to sit down before I fell down and I feel dizzy and disorientated now, hours later. Have eaten loads today.
Has anyone else had this?

this sounds like low bp rather than high

ring your mw

I've felt dizzy a fair bit from very early on. In my case it was due to low BP but if I were you I would contact the MW to get checked.

I find it is much worse when I am tired, haven't eaten very well or am dehydrated.

Just a different slant for you - I had this at 24/25 weeks - fainted (sitting down which I thought was fairly impressive ) and then almost fainted another few times over the following few days. Also had severe headaches. Felt really bad so went to Dr and I had quite a bad UTI but with none of the normal symptoms (apparently quite common in pregnancy) - had had it for about 10 days hence why I started fainting (I also take vits so knew it wasn't iron levels and I assume blood pressure level had just dropped or something until I started to feel really bad!) Might be worth getting urine tested just in case?

Yes I think I will hand a sample in tomorrow. Oh actually, Ive just remembered I have an appointment with consultant tomorrow (high risk due to last HR PG).
Ive just weighed myself and in 2 weeks - Ive lost 2lb!! Bit of a worry at this stage and I have not stopped eating. Doc said weeks ago my glucose levels were raised slightly so hand a sample in in a few weeks but I just put it down to a huge peice of cake id had before hand .
He said to watch out for signs which would indicate gestational diabetes, one of them was weight loss and come to think of it, I think one was light headedness. I totally poo hooed it thinking, why would I have that, Im not a bad eater, not too much of a sweet tooth - now im really worried.
Will post tomorrow after appointment which has landed very well time wise, I will worry all night now.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Hi. My appointment at high risk clinic took me back to those visits when I was PG with DS 2.5 years ago. Exasperating if you get the wrong consultant!
The consultant was asian and his english was horrific. So much so that I didn't even mention the weight loss as I couldn't be bothered....I had already struggled to explain so much to him in the first place as he hadn't read my notes.
I just got a nurse to check my urine and she said it was negative for glucose and protein. Im not sure if she'd have spotted or even tested for a UTI, I just wanted out of there - various other stuff happened including the consultant couldn't find the babies heart beat and was all set to send me for a scan there and then to see if the baby was ok. I could clearly hear the kicks over the doppler and have an anterior placenta but this was all beyond him. Ugh, Im not dizzy today, I will wait until my 28 week scan unless I feel worse and hopefully I will get someone else!

Hmmm... well, if it was that bad, do complain! I wouldn't just let that go, if I were you.
