hello, hoping for some advice from people who are/have suffered from GD. i am 36+2 and have been controlling sugars through diet since about 30 weeks. in the past week or so, despite eating the same sort of things, my levels seem to be steadily creeping up. does this mean i am going to have to restrict my diet even further or will need medication? is it usual as you get further on?
i know various factors can make levels go up, but nothing much has changed for me in the apst few weeks. i have been very nauseous and thirsty - is that symbolic of anything?

sorry for so many questions! have mailed the diabetic team but obviously wont hear until tomorrow.

BTW i have to be under 7.8 after 1 hour and no mention of pre meals levels. However i had to be under 7 2 hours after meals with DD1 and she was fine when born and i had no idea what my 1 hour post-meal levels were then so not sure why this has changed. if i do go over at 1 hour i always check at 2 hours which usually saves the guilt if i am under 7(although the diabetic team don't know that

hello! good to hear from you - have just put a shout out for you people about early delivery!
thoughtforms, you sound like you're doing really well. unfortunately, i havent been able to have any biscuits or anything, just rice cakes. anything else sends me sky high.

forever, i'm nearly 38 wks now. i'm worried that they might put me on meds for this final stretch but think they might induce/ cs me early. the baby is a'good weight' and i've had steroids etc in case of the early delivery. have had lots of pains and tightenings but nothing regular.

i have 3 bags of thorntons given to me at the end of term just watching me and waiting.....
