I know, I know, you'll all shout 'just bloody test!' but.....

We have been TTC for quite some time now (not been back on contraception since having ds 3 years ago) but have only been 'seriously' trying for about 10mths.

Pretty much every other month I have lots of pg symptoms, I'm thinking alot of them were actually in my head , spend a fortune on tests, only to be disappointed.

However, this month is very different. The first day of my last period was June 11th (39 days ago) which makes my period late by about a week - however I'm not ridiculously regular give or take a few days.

I have been convinced I am def not pg as we only had sex once this month and that was on about the 25th June but then about a week or so later I had a bout of raw egg white type discharge (which I believe is a sign of ovulation) and we def did have sex at this time.

Funnily enough though my mate asked me if I was pg as I was acting differently - I wasn't sure what she meant by that and she couldn't explain it either! Also, dh said he has feelings that I am (he told me to test with ds even though I had no idea and wasn't even late!!)

So now I'm thinking, right then, maybe I am but I just don't feel it, nor do I want to spend and fortune on tests again only to read a negative and wtf was all the egg white discharge about?? Could that actually be possible in pregnancy?

I'm in a similar boat, not really ttc to practising the rhythym method to see if we have my cycle correct for when we ttc in a few months.
However, af was due last Wednesday and still hasnt arrived, got negative test yesterday but still no signs of af except a really light brown discharge (sorry tmi).
Very confused as normally really regular

Hollyoaks, in your case if I was you I would prob do another test in a few days. I'm not generally regular so I'm pretty certain that my neg result was accurate and it's just a waiting game for AF to come for me. However, with you, it might just be that your pg hormone levels aren't raised enough to be detected yet. It may also be your mind playing tricks though as when I TTC with ds1 I went from being regular to all over the place then after childbirth I slipped back into regular again - and you've guessed it, TTC and am irregular again!!! It's amazing how your mind can alter your physical state. Fingers crossed for you.
