baby towels - worth bothering with?

have been having a good debate with friends, do you think paying the extra for a 'baby' towel is worth it or just go with nice bath towels?

Are the cuddle dry the ones that were on Dragons Den.

Now I did like the look of those!

MiniMarmite · 30/06/2009 22:34

yes : www.cuddledry.com/ - £25 each but we got one from my work and one from DH's work - lovely gifts and still look as good as new.

I have a lovely bit la redoute one for ds, the rest are shit.

I bought dd pink towels from primark for £2.. we've been using them for 4 years.

Buy normal towels in funky colours.

we bought a regular bundle set of towels for ds. in a different colour to ours so they didnt all get mixed up.
they were a tenner in the sale (debenhams i think).

after nearly 2 years they are still in excellent conditional.

no waste of money, buy ordinary ones.

Have had them for DS and DD. DD still using them at 10 months. Got given new pink ones for DD but would have bought new pink one if not. Use the blue ones DS had for DD as well tho and they're still in fab condition. I love them and the hood bit is useful to dry hair and keeps them all cosy.

Another vote here for the cuddledry towels which are amazing and worth the investment. They make bath time much much easier and I have since bought one for everyone I know who has a baby.

ds uses his hooded towel as a cape for all sorts of superhero capers at 3.5 as well as getting him dry so I'd say it's had its money's worth...
(Lovely big one from La Redoute)

I had new towels for DS as mine were still perfectly good but not soft enough for my PFB...also I had seperate towels as I washed them seperately, as I did with all his stuff. I will have them again for this baby - as I have already been bought some!

I got a big hooded organic cotton one for DS for a bargain price in the Vertbaudet sale and he is still using it aged nearly 3.

Wouldn't have bought it without cheapo price but it is rather lovely.
