I'm 33 weeks pregnant and wear tight fitting vest tops most of the time as they are more flattering than smock tops when you're only 5ft tall.

I don't expose my bump to anyone though in a cropped top but would wear a bikini if on holiday.

I do beleive the days of a nice sailor style maternity frock with a big collar/bow to detract attention from the bump are over thank the lord .

i'm sorry that you watch this sort of tosh

This may be controversial but at 8 months pregnant I think my tummy looks horrid (not that it was that fab before ) I would not subject anyone to seeing the skin. But I have to agree tight clothes not a problem - after all when you get this far even rent-a-tent is tight!

Oh my, that Lowri interview is awful isn't it?

Check out this bit..

'And the children are confident and self-starting, unlike the wimpy little princes and princesses you see clinging to the skirts of Stay-At-Home Mums. They know how to share toys and take turns and don't think the world revolves around them.'

That's a whole new thread!

OTOH - how nice to see the Daily Misery publishing a piece in praise of working mothers for a change. Usually they're portrayed as selfish harpies, intent on fulfilling their own desires at the expense of their poor neglected children......

Doesn't mean that I like this article, btw, just that it makes a change. It would be much better to have a reasoned, properly researched and empathetic article, than yet more vitriolic mud slinging.

And I would have been at the Wright Stuff debate as well. I'm happy to wear tight-ish clothing now I have my bump - I think it's a bit more chic, and looks more professional at work than a floaty smock top - but I'm finding it a struggle to have something suitable to wear every single day. And expensive....... Some times I end up wearing something I'm not happy with and would rather not wear, just because it's the only thing that fits! Sounds as if the TV 'debaters' assume that we all have a stylist on speed dial and access to a range of stunning maternity wear, and that if we look a bit ropey, well that's our choice. FFS......

it is a bit hideous having Lowrie - who has made a whole career out of being a mother - slagging off the target audience of the piss-poor programmes she earns her crusts from...

And i speak as one who has tried SAHM, WOHM, Working at home mum, pt and ft work! (and still found time to knit my own yoghurt...)

I spent the last few weekends with my bump out in the sun on the beach - was congratulated by one woman! I saw many men with huge fat and hairy bumps so mine looked pretty damn good in comparison!

(I'm 36 weeks btw!)
