Silly question, really, but for those of you who have done this already, what, if anything, did you wear?

big baggy tshirt and long elasticated waist skirt in early stages - while in labour ward rather than delivery suite.
just the t shirt for the main event.

Felt like such a big decision beforehand - baggy top or buttony top, PJs or nightie, long T plus optional bottoms???
But, as everyone has said, ultimately not important. Although, I would have brought a baggier, comfier nightie that could be teamed with pj bottoms if wanted, for afterwards (bfing and the post-delivery lumbering/dragging sore bits across bed etc)

Nothing. Stripped off for the pool. Didn't give a monkeys, it was just so goooooooood to hit the water.

nothing but a pair of socks - I insisted on leaving them on

Loose clothing for early stages, and 2 pairs of socks, as my feet were freezing. But mothing for most of my established labour as was in a pool. I think I was draped in hot towels at the point I actually gave birth, as I had had to get out of the pool due to really wanting to be on all fours with my head down (which doesn't work well in water...).

It was lovely being naked though, as you just put your baby next to you straight away. When I had to hand her over to DP so I could get on with the third stage, he was instructed to take his shirt off too, and he held her skin to skin for over an hour at that point.

Nothing! Couldn't stand the feeling of anything against my skin!

I have no idea! Must look at delivery photos and find out for this time!

It could possibly have been the hospital garb they gave us to wear- blue gown or something. Will start off this time in large baggy t-shirt.
