Anyone else? (I'm about 7 weeks ish btw)

Mine smell of roses btw, so it's fine

Hey Thomcat
I have to say I am in your gang
The thing is I am 14 wks today and am still suffering.

Having said that it lasted the whole way through my last pregnancy, much to the discust of dp.

Of course mine smell like roses too!

I'm at work today and as mine don't smell I am trying to perfect the silent type ones ao I don't have to keep leaving the office .

I have a strict policy of not allowing the men in my office to fart in my presence so will die of embarassment if they hear me

DelGirl · 12/05/2005 10:39

TC, I had a really bad bout of it at about 9 weeks, I recall. I even posted on here cos it was so bl**dy painful, much to Coppertops amusement.

PinkFluffPudding · 12/05/2005 10:43

Mine got to a ridiculous stage recently but seem to have died down a bit (I'm 17 weeks) fingers crossed, mind you that could be because I'm eating more healthily now. Was going to start up a post on this too but was too scared so thanks for being brave!

Cheers, have a parp on me (not literally though!!),

Hells teeth, dh must be up the duff then! h

bamik · 13/05/2005 17:09

Im 12 weeks and stil letting rip It's really uncomfortable when I try to hold it in!

flum · 13/05/2005 17:15

Yes, its a symptom of poor manners young lady.

bamik · 13/05/2005 17:27

I do leave the room if there are people around (that's if I can get out quick enough)

ChaCha · 13/05/2005 22:13

I have it too. Quick a few of us have mentioned this on the November board. I was telling them about farting so badly one night, DH had to turn the TV down and was listening intently, thought we might have burglars bless him!

Oh..and complaining of a sore side a lot of the time have now discovered that that's just trapped wind! And lots of it...LOL

f1recr4cker · 15/05/2005 20:30

yes it is a sympton.it happens more becos of the ur digestive system changing and processing food differently.

coppertop · 15/05/2005 21:04

Delgirl - I can honestly say that it was the first thread I'd ever seen where someone was asking for advice on how to make themselves fart!

Pages · 15/05/2005 21:55

LOL about the burglars, Cha Cha!! I, too, have been terrible since pg - much worse in the first trimester. After years of pretending I didn't do it, or blaming it on the central heating, etc., have been trumping involuntarily here there and everywhere in front of a horrified dh.

Can't play tunes either.

Nik72 · 15/05/2005 22:08

Used to fart at work when pg, couldn't hold them in at all, so embarrassing . Now I've had my baby it's great - she farts really loudly so if I let rip I can just blame her

highlander · 16/05/2005 03:32

yikes, I thought I was the only bad mummy with the 'it's the baby' excuse!!

jessicasmummy · 16/05/2005 05:49

im 17 weeks and still going! That on top of the genral anesthetic getting through my system, im stinkin!

teabelly · 16/05/2005 06:16

Good Lord yes! 38+ weeks and still parping them out like a trouper did with ds too...obviously some of us have it and some will blow up if they don't let it out!

Pages · 16/05/2005 21:27

It's so great to read a thread that has made me laugh my head off at every post. Thanks for starting it Thomcat! I was laughing so much last night I nearly wet myself in front of DH. He thinks I've turned into a bottom obsessed degenerate...
