i had gesational diabetes in my last pregnancy therefore being being monitored in this pregnancy. Having second glucose tolerance test this week as I was informed that this is the cruical time?? anyone know why?? Already had this test at 16 weeks (negative). No sugar in urine up to a week ago.

i have been eating a lot of carbs (i know i know) but thats what i always want really crave. Up to now I have always had movement in the evenings, but today i have felt kicks constantly all day / every few minutes (not complaining per se but wondering if this is normal).

Starting to get paranoid that my blood sugar is contanstly high now or could it be just the begining of third trimester?

BTW i also have placenta previa so at home a lot resting so notice every movement.

Hi, I am 25 weeks and my baby never stops moving from morning til night. Don't think its abnormal, I have mentioned it to the midwife and she didn't seemed concearned in anyway

30 weeks tomorrow, had completely normal GTT two weeks ago. For about the last week it feels like this baby never stops moving. I think we're just reaching a peak 'busy' time....that or some babies are busier than others!

At about 25 weeks, movements were more predictable and only happened at set times (just after waking, after meals, and at night in bed). Now it's all that, plus all the time in between!

I'm off work and resting a lot due to SPD, so I also have a lot of time to notice movement.

Babies do move a lot at this time don't they? Or it feels like it because they're big enough that you feel everything but not that big that they're in any way restricted.

I remember it being constant at that stage.

I also think babies tend to be more active when you're still, iirc. When you're moving about the motion lulls them to sleep but if you're still a) you notice it a lot more because you aren't distracted and b) baby is wide awake. Hence the fact they usually wake up and start kicking the minute you get into bed .

I wouldn't worry about it too much - but mention it to your midwife when you see her. Is it possible that your placenta was blocking some of the movement and it's now moving up? I know this is a time when they start to move and that with an anterior placenta, it can sometimes restrict your feeling. Other than that, some babies have more active periods than others. I'm a little further along than you, but I've definitely felt movement step up a bit. In the meantime, since you're at risk for GD anyway, I'd try to eat empty carbs in moderation. Good luck! I'm sure you're fine!!!
