Hello, time for me to join the pregnancy threads again. Only found out last week that I am expecting number 2 and although I am excited I am also really worried. Will my body cope ok, I feel he is still recovering from the first one, is the age gap between 1 and 2 too small? My doctor said it will be exhausting for me as it is physically very demanding but she said that the age gap is really nice for the kids. I also wondered if I should go to antenatal classes again? I don't think I have forgotten everything but I didn't do the NCT class last time and thought it might be a nice way to meet other mums....

14 months between my dds. The first year will be hard - I'm sure one of the reasons I couldn't b/f dd2 was I was still quite stressed out at the shock of dd1! Accept all the help you can.

Have a different place set out for their different sizes of nappies, clothes, etc - obvious, I know, but I remember it being no fun washing up 20 teats and having to count the number of holes in each of them!

Good luck!

I've just found out in pregnant with no2 DD will be 18 months when DB is born. Had only starting trying and got pregnant the first month which we were not expecting.

Lovely to hear all the positive stories about a close gap.

There is only 15 months between mine, yes it is very akward at first when they are both little, but it's nice to see them grow up together and mine are very close. I don't think either of mine could imagine what life would be like without the other.

Only 21 months between my first two. Two children will always been hard work, no matter what the gap! The great thing was that within days of no. 2 being born, my elder one couldn't remember a time without her younger sister being there. And although they have their sibling moments, they are very close now.
