LooneyLaura, if you would like some extra sleepsuits and bodies (all white, a few cream) then cat me xxx

I have a DS so if you need some boys clothes then just shout ... x

Am 27 weeks and I haven't bought anything yet. I'm not superstitious but I somehow still can't believe that I'm actually going to have a baby.

Btw, quick question, what shall I get, tiny T'shirts or suits, I heard tiny babies don't like suits because it rubs their umbilical stump, is that true?

6 months (i was buying things weekly and my excitement grew with it too)

Rochwen, I think suits are better, as the T shirts just ride up. The stump days are so few anyway, and if it gets irritated you can treat it with Sudocrem or something.

I nearly bought a little ted in IKEA on saturday but I put it back! I had a lot of my sister's stuff before and just chucked it in a spare room and closed the door. This time I have to buy everything (which is actually quite nice and hoping grandparents will pay!) I prefer bodysuits but don't get the ones with the long arms, they are impossible to get new babies into without a fight! The stump is only there for a few days, apart from my ds1 who's stump grew and grew... my gp tied a bit of string round it in the end before it finally fell off!

Can't remember too clearly eventhough baby is just 3 wks old but the first thing I bought was a can of paint (pink) on clearance at Homebase. (it WAS a gorgeous shade of pink) So it was after week 19 when we had amniocentesis.

The first time, we bought our pushchair at 8wks (was a bargain though!) and didn't buy anything else until I was 12 wks pg...buy little and often and spread the cost that's what I say!

This time round we will only buy more stuff if we find out at the scan that it is a different sex, and then it will be purely clothes-nothing else!
