When did people finish work...?

I'm 38 weeks and work full time running our own business (with DH). People keep asking me when I'm finishing and I have joked "when the contractions are about 5 minutes apart..." but I'm not joking that much as I plan to work right up until the first sign of contractions, or until I feel like giving up.

Some days I've been knackered I'll admit (and drying my hair in the morning is almost too much) but most of the time I feel just fine and frankly, I'm less pooped at work than at home. At work I sit at my desk all day, waddling to the loo every now and again, but at home I'm up and down the stairs, bending over clearing up after my DD (who's 3 and is at to the childminder during the week).

I was wondering what everyone else's experiences of working in the later stages of pregnancy were...? My biggest worry is that my waters will break in the office and I will have to walk through the building with wet clothes! Anyone got any embarrassing 'waters breaking at work' stories...?

I have 8 weeks to go too and I started working part-time today. I have load of annual leave saved up and I need to use it before September, so I'm working 2 days a week until 9th July and then I'm on holiday until my maternity leave starts on August 1st. I don't know what I'm going to do with all this time.

Went on mat leave at 34/40, realised it was time to go when my bump started switching off bits of equipment!

I can't actually get in the garden, because I can't open our back door . The bolts are really stiff and I have to get the other half to open them for me. Not that I'd really want to go out into the jungle that we call a back garden. I'd only feel obliged to do something about it.

34 weeks. I was enormous and on my feet all day and he was 2 weeks late to I was twiddling my thumbs at the end...

Well, I am 41w+2 and still working, also running our own business with dh.
My job is mainly admin stuff at a desk and I've been working from home so it's been fairly easy and flexible.
We've arranged for an accountant to do the book keeping and take our calls for the first 2 weeks (we don't get many phone calls though, mainly emails which he will probably be able to deal with as well for credit control.)

I'm not doing 12 hours a day anymore, that started being extremely hard both physically and mentally since around week 35.
I probably do between 3 to 6 hours a day nowadays, with a nap in the afternoon at some point and if things get too much I always have the option to just take the day off.

36 weeks, and very glad of it, I'd saved up my holidays so hadn't had any time off for 6 months, I was worn out. It was just right, the two weeks overdue nearly tipped me over the edge though.
