Hormones not quite doubled in 48hours...really worried this is my 1st can you help!!

Im 4 weeks pregnant and they've done hormone tests on me this week purely as a precaution and I wish they hadn't bothered now coz Im worried sick. My doctor just phoned me and said that she may be splitting hairs but my hormones havent quite doubled in the 48hour period and they want me to go back monday. Has anyone else had this....really need some reassurance

Early pregnancy is terribly fraught even with a healthy normal pg. Discharge and bleeding are common. Sadly, miscarriage is quite common too.

I do hope that things work out for you and I wish you a lot of luck.

Please, please, please go back to the GP immediately if you have any pain (in your shoulder blade perhaps as well as more obvious low down pain/backache).

No mc yet! I'm 7 weeks today next scan is at 9 weeks but might buckle and get a private one next week - need all the reassurance I can get right now!

I know it's awful the week of limbo but you have to try and keep yourself busy and calm.
