I quit smoking when I found out I was pregnant too.

Well done! It will get much easier soon.

I visualised blowing smoke into a newborn baby's face every time I wanted one. Couldn't bring myself to smoke at all with that image in my mind and within a few days the thought of a cigarette turned my stomach (was previously on 20+).

The urge will pass soon enough when your hormones kick in.

KEEP GOING!

Thanks still not had one, its hard to remove my self from certain situations as i work casually in my local pub, as it is never that busy i used to smoke to alievate boredom! I bought 10 when i was going to work at about 6.30 and at 11.15 i gave the unopened packet away! I think i just needed to know they were there!

Although i got my results from doctors (preg test) this afternoon and it said negative. So since then i have felt v.down been to asda after work to buy some more tests I bought two twin packs one CB and one asda own brand, have tested with one of each and CB was + 1-2 weeks, own brand was v.v faint + but there.

Very early i know!! All sorts can go wrong just going to try and stay positive!

Love - good luck and let me know how you get on.

Thanks for all the posts of support.

Rose, take one thing at a time.

Focus on the worse of the two evils (smoking vs coffee) - once you have smoking tackled then worry about coffee.

You could still have one proper coffee a day (actually caffe nero do a half caff which is quite nice).

I believe that shop-bought pregnancy tests do the same job and measure for the same hormone as the ones the doctor uses, so I would definitely trust the positive result.

As Ali says, one thing at a time. It will get easier - you are doing well to have a pack in your hands and not open them. Bravo!

You have done so well. I have to admit I gave in and had 1 tonight, really cross with myself now! Im fine during the day but its alot harder in the evening, its all I can think about. I may have to go to the doctors and get some advice.
As far as your test goes I read that its almost impossible to get a positive result that is wrong so I would trust your test. My doctor said that he wouldn't even do a test for me because they are really no more acurate than the home ones. Very strange that it came back negative.
Anyway keep away from the smoking your doing better than me a pity to blow it now you will feel so good in a few days and trust me the guilt is not worth it!!
Keep us updated on how things go.
