hello
Ive heard that most airlines will let you fly up to 36 weeks and that there may be restrictions if your previous pregnancy was complicated so was just getting the advice of other pregnant women or people whove had babies.
I went into labour last pregnancy at 35 weeks and after few days baby was born at 36 weeks emergency c-section. Am looking at going away in July and wondering if I should rule out flying (2 hour journey) when im 30 weeks and would be 31 weeks on way back. its just to my inlaws in spain and im thinking that flying would be more comfortable than long car journey. what would you do? or perhaps should just send hubby on his own and i can get some rest! cant go before then as have to go in school holidays and this is the earliest we can go.

I wouldn't go, but if I had to i would fly I went on a 2 hour car journey at 28 weeks and it made me ill all day headache, sickness, cramps, and swollen legs had to spend rest of day lying down that was fine, but no way I would drive to spain.

check with teh airline you are flying with, some don;t let you fly after 28 weeks, and you might find insurance difficult esp if you had complicated last birth.

i would double check everything before booking

personally, i would be at home, with my feet p and book a holiday for when the baby was a few months old

I have to say I wouldn't go either and would stay at home and relax instead.

My DS arrived 7 weeks early (due to pre-eclampsia) and I did a lot of travelling whilst pregnant, my DH and I have already said next time round I'm going to stay at home after 20 weeks as just isn't worth the risk or the worry.

Could your in-laws come to you instead (or would that be very stressful )
