Does maxi-cosi click onto M&P Pliko Pramette

Hi
I've heard that the M&P car seat that goes with the pliko pramette is really unsuitable for newborns with their heads flopping forward etc. I'm a bit reluctant to get one now but I really want a car seat that clicks onto the pramette. Does the maxi-cosi click onto it?
Thanks!

nope

why do u need the car seat to click onto the buggy?

No, the fixings are purely for M&P seats.

Lots of other prams are compatable with the Maxi Cosi, though so it might be worth rethinking your pram if you're dead set on the MaxiCosi seat.

The other thing to bear in mind is that you have to change the pramette back to a pushchair in order to attach the carseat which is a bit of a faff.

yes i'd prefer it for when travelling, in airport - think it would be easier to click it on and wheel around rather than wheel the pram and carry car seat!

apparrently the new ones arent as bAD

maxi cosi is the best if it fits in your car

newborns heads can flop forwards in any carseat, it depends on how they have been sat/if they have slumped etc

you should be basing your choice on the SAFETY of it rather than whether it clicks into a pramette or not

Are you going to be doing a lot of travelling in and out of airports then?

If you fly with the carseat then you'll have to pay for a seat for it and the seat may not comply with CAA regs anyway.

If you don't have a seat for it the you'll have to check it in as luggage so it won't matter anyway about the pushchair.

Obviously if you're flying a lot then it will make a difference but if it's only for the odd holiday the I'd be far more inclined to look at how safe a seat is, as MoM says.

We had the M&P seat, the head floppy thing wasn't too bad but DD was nearly 10 pounds at birth so can't really imagine what it would be like for a prem or small baby in one).

The thing I hated with a passion was the straps on it - they always seemed to twist at really innoportune moments and I'd be stuck in the dark and rain trying for 10 minutes to untwist them.

I've got the Pliko too and it's ok, but I'd go for a cheap pram and the maxi cosi if I had my time again.

Ok so I will check the carseat in at airport? That's good to know, thought I may have to carry it on board with me. I will be travelling to see my parents who live abroad and have no clue what air travel with a baby will be like. Sounds like it could be v complicated esp if DP isn't with me! Any tips for air travel withe young baby would be appreciated... Actually I'll start a new thread for it.

Guys, don't worry, of course I know safety is the most important factor here but I am 100% sure the M&P car seat meets all safety regulations. It's the personal opinions on it I wanted to check.

Thanks!
