Persistently breech at 26+ weeks. Will this baby ever stop trampolining on bloddy bladder?

I know there's plenty of time to go, but I;m slightly worried that this baby seems NEVER to be cephalic and that it's getting into bad habits... I've tried doing the knee-chest position- that entices it out into transverse, but as soon as I stand up it flips back to breech. It's an active baby and seems to take peculiar delight in dancing on my bladder. Bored now.

Anybody with experience of awkward little buggers babies that just won't budge? Is it likely to flip? Should I book my acupuncture session for 33 weeks now? (I have a friend who is a midwife and acupuncturist).

I don't think the position of the baby matters until the head (or bum in your case!) engages - this can happen as early as 33 weeks but is usually 37 weeks onwards.

Are you sure the baby is actually breach? My midwife told me I was breach 3 times in the last few weeks but was proven wrong by scans!

If you are still worried nearer the birth scrubbing the kitchen floor on your hands and knees is supposed to get the baby in the perfect position!

My ds was breach until 35 weeks and I too was worried because I wanted to have a natural birth and the mw were talking c-section. I tried all the positions to try to get him to turn and they didn't work. The night before he turned (and yes, I could feel it) I played Chinese chants (suggested by a Chinese friend) while lying in bed with the speaker between my legs! Will never know if that's what did it, but I'd sure try it again! DS was born at 37 weeks, so have a feeling he just turned because it was time. Good luck and try not to worry...worry is the one thing assured to not help!

I'm 26 weeks, and baby always seems to be stomping on my bladder. I think only once or twice I've felt a kick up high, and that hasn't been for a few weeks. Sometimes get them on low on the side. Does this mean he's spending all his time in a butt down position? Should I worry about this?

I think he was transverse at the 20 week scan, but I've got too much extra pudge and an anterior placenta, so can't identify any body parts from the outside.
