by the way all, how long is your cycle? is it long so that your ovulation is late?

To be honest i have always been quite irregular. i do know that i had my period around 20th feb also so for the last couple months it has been 32 days or so.

It's hard to figure it all out. also i'm not sure if my body is playing cruel tricks but i have all the symptoms stronger than they were - nausea, constipation, food aversions..

trying to be positive and i looked at my little girl today and realised i would be crazy not to realise how lucky i am..

lalatv · 17/05/2009 20:52

so basically lee you are in the same boat as me ...let us just see what happens....

so whens your scan then lalatv?

mines this friday..

triggerhappybaby · 19/05/2009 12:25

lalatv I'm having exactly the same thing- I thought I was 7+2 but the early scan said 4-5 roughly. consultant said well you could have got your dates all wrong or it could have stopped growing at 4-5- weeks. My pill-taking went haywire whilst my dad was dying in March then I fell pregnant almost straight away (there was me thinking oh I'm 35, my partners 40, ain't NO way I'm in any danger of getting pregnant!!!), only one normal period so I thought I'd established a 28 day cycle, naive fool that I am - - anyway I'd been having a lot of bleeding so went for an early scan. Continued to bleed so went back to the drop-in scanning unit two days later to have it checked - they rescanned and the gestational sac had grown by 27% but have to wait till 28th for a 'proper' scan to see if it's viable. Worrying times - especially when you're bleeding like a stuck pig Anyway the Sister said she sees a huge percentage of women for whom ovulation is an inexact science and to not waste any more time fretting about it.

lalatv · 20/05/2009 08:45

my scan is not until next week...was meant to go next thursday but no baby sitter for that day so will probably go tuesday....
good luck for friday, keep me updated lee...triggerhappy, let us know too...! it seems that time goes soo slowly when u wait for a scan...

You two want to thank your lucky stars you are nowhere near me today! Usually I'm v placid, glass-half-full person but last night I metaphorically booted DH round the room for the blatant INJUSTICE of it all. Was told yesterday the house I really want to move to and nest in was under offer so I had the prospect of losing my Dad, my baby and the house that is rightfully MINE all in the space of 3 months. I phoned my boss up today I said - look if I come in people will perish. Can I work at home? Yes, he squeaked, no problem at all. So here I am, working at home

With you in spirit girls. Only 8 days to wait!

lalatv · 20/05/2009 10:36

poor triggerhappy, it seems everything happens at the same time...keep hoping and hopefully everything will improve...at least you are working from home today!!
are u still bleeding btw?

triggerhappybaby · 20/05/2009 10:45

Yeah. I can't let myself worry about that as well though or I'll be in an early grave. Loads of people I've spoken to (and read on here) say it's normal and I've got nothing else to go on so I'll keep buying the mattresses (thought those days might be over for a while... ) and plod on!

Are u feelin ok today?

lalatv · 20/05/2009 10:58

i am sick and tired...that could be positive signs but last pregnancy(mc)and was sick even more than now and the result was bad so i can't rely on that as an indicator....although i wish it was....
just sent dd to the creche so can get on with cleaning...

Keeping my fingers crossed chuck. Am just tucking into a momentous bag of Giant Buttons. It's got a resealable top. What the do I want a resealable top for?? lmao x

lalatv · 20/05/2009 11:35

ahah, keep smiling triggerhappy!!!

beanieb · 20/05/2009 12:08

oh
you're all scaring me. I am (By my calculations) 5 weeks +3 days and have a scan booked for 7 weeks +4. Is this early? I am so scared that things might not be going to plan.

TaurielTest · 20/05/2009 12:14

try not to worry lala, i had an internal scan at sixish weeks (fairly sure about ov date as was on clomid and having follicular monitoring scans) and there was no HB detected, just fetal pole and sac. was told this was normal, went back a week later when they saw the HB.
fingers crossed for you all, it's such a worrying time...

lalatv · 20/05/2009 13:47

does that mean u saw an embryo at 6 weeks? because i didn't...but they said i was not 6 weeks...just 4-5....

OP posts:
lalatv · 20/05/2009 13:48

thanks soo much for your support all, i really hope everything is well, it is quite depressing feeling sick and tired for nothing!

OP posts:
triggerhappybaby · 20/05/2009 14:15

This will cheer you. I've finished the pack of Giant Buttons and am onto a huge doorstop ham and cheese sandwich. I am seeing this as a positive sign

TaurielTest · 20/05/2009 14:38

No, no embryo visible at six weeks, just thefetal pole - which is quite normal in a viable pregnancy.

LeeWT · 20/05/2009 16:27

lala I know it's so stressful and you prob swing between twenty emotions a day but all we can do is wait on this cruel game :-(

Triggerhappy I can't believe all this happened at once - am busy wishing the people buying ur house into swift bankruptcy!! As for resealable bags- if they didn't want u to eat that size they wouldn't make them that way!

Myself I have promised myself a pack of sensations, a tub of hummous AND a magnum to enjoy watching the apprentice (ben to go)

Am off for a nap from my pregnancy exhaustion and am trying not to swing too far toward despair or unrealiztic hope :-(

Xxx

lalatv · 20/05/2009 18:19

at least i know what a fetal pole is , well i didn't have one....i have had naps with dd ever since i found out i was pregnant...and treat myself to a lot of stuff...let us see what happpens next....

OP posts:
lalatv · 20/05/2009 18:25

beanieb, i think the best time would be to go for 8 weeks...the only reason why i went early was to get progesterone from specialist, he needed a scan beforehand and i also had some pain...(no blood). if you are ready to go through the same as us, then fine,...but i can tell u it is stressful...i wish i hadn't gone early and would think my symptoms were a good sign!best of luck anyway!
