I'm thinking of starting to stock up whenever they're on sale, but what size do I buy? Anyone have a game plan as to how to be prepared?

Hello LBOT

Have you signed up with the pampers website? They send you voushers for their nappies!

We will be starting with Pamper Newborn nappies, great for those lovely newborn poops! Not going to be buying loads just in case little one has a huge bum :P

However we will then be moving on to little lamb re-usables as I have fallen in love with them!

Tescos own brand with the yellow packaging are really good, found them better than pampers! Dont stock up too much but shop around and try all brands. If you do wish to stock up then buy a variety of sizes. Not too many size 1s

I won't be stocking up as I did on ds and found he had ultra sensitive skin and could only use huggies. But my friends baby got really bad nappy rash on huggies but not pampers so i'm gonna wait and see what nappies dd2 prefers.

Instead of stocking up on loads of nappies why not put the money on a "gift card" for one or more supermarkets then you can buy whatever size you need at the time and where the best offers are??

DS whizzed through nappy sizes till he got to aobut size 3 or 4 then he was in them for good few months so we could stock up.

I wouldnt stock up till you need to as also we had to change brands from time to time as they all fit differently. We used pampers for ages but now huggies seem to be a better fit -less leaks. And when he is teething we often have to change brand to hellp with his nappy rash.

Asda always have value boxes that vary between £10 and £14 pound much cheaper than anywhere else (and costco but they are very big boxes and you might not use them all)

Use washables.

Much better for baby imo and saves you loads of money.

No biggy washing them as you will be washing more anyway.

Dry pail and chuck them straight in the machine.
