Does anyone have experience of the clearblue digital with conception indicator?

It says 92% accurate but I can't see how that can be...I mean women's hcg levels must vary massively, mustn't they?

I just did one, and although I am 4+2 it says '3+' ie 5+ weeks pregnant even though I didn't do it with fmu. I was testing as the line came up quite strongly from the cheap test I did a few days ago, which made me wonder and worry about twins! But it can't be that accurate can it? I am 90% sure I didn't ovulate any earlier than normal in the month, btw.

Well, I did an OPK the month I conceived and so thought I'd conceived mid-month, but according to my 12 week scan and measurements the baby's a week older than that...

If it's 92% accurate that's a reasonable window of inaccuracy.

Oh - and congratulations!

Yes you're right, that is a reasonable window of inaccuracy. I have been off and googled and the range of hcg for 4-5 weeks is big, so I shall assume it is just that and not a molar pregnancy or twins or other such hysteria.

I used an ebay cheapy to find out was pg at 3+4 and then used a cbd with conception indicator a week later and it was bang on with my dates, so you can imagine my suprise when I had my 12 week scan and discovered we are having twins lol
It is good for a rough guide but I would never take it for granted
Congratulations

hiya :-) newbie here. I used the clearblue/conception indicator - I do remember it said on the box that it could show 1-2 weeks, 2-3 weeks and 3+ meaning that 3+ was the biggest it could show, so it would just mean 'you are over 3 weeks pregnant' rather than precisely 3 :-)) I think!

I might be a bit foggy, am 14 weeks gone with our first...

Congrats!

I used one when I was preg and it was spot on with the weeks, which all the scans later confirmed. But there must be a bit of give and take. Congrats!! xx

Just an update here if anyone is interested...

I went for an early scan this morning. I am 6+3 as I thought exactly, but it IS TWINS!!!
So my higher hcg level could have been to do with that??

Congratulations Rubles

I expect you and your OH are in quite a bit of shock (even though you had suspicions lol)
Make sure you take things easy as a twin pregnacy can really take it out of you (am 25 weeks!)

Congrats again x

Thanks readyfonumber2and3, we are completely overwhelmed - I'm sure you understand, everyone must go through this. The implications of it keep washing over me and I am finding it very difficult to focus on anything else at the moment - and hence why I am up on mumsnet in the middle of the night. I can't believe it is happening to me, I keep thinking I am going to wake up.

We are only 6+4 at the moment though, so we mustn't loose sight of that and the fact anythng can happen. We are a long way away from being a family of 6(!!!). But still, I can't stop my mind racing away.

I was a gibbering wreck in the epu - wailing loudly because I was relieved there was a heartbeat, but then laughing hysterically at the same time almost because there were two, then wailing again, then laughing. I had to be put in a side room, probably so as I didn't scare the other ladies.
