Our DS was The Spiderpig as an early scan showed a blob seemingly with lots of legs! As pg progressed this got shortened to just The Pig.

hackneybird · 27/04/2009 18:05

Sabs, yes, I live in Stokey. Where are you?

hoops997 · 27/04/2009 18:10

SabsBigPants · 27/04/2009 20:14

im in clapton hackneybird when are you due? i'm 18 weeks and due sept 26th...you having the baby at homerton?

Sorry to everyone else for hijacking the thread!

YanknCock · 28/04/2009 11:16

Juwesm, we were also calling him 'Skeletor' for the same reason!

Mostly it's 'the baby', but I confess at times I refer to him as 'little shit' or 'sneaky shit' because he always stops kicking as soon as DH tries to feel it. [Extra extra extra bad mother emoticon]

And on occasion he is known as 'the little bladder-stomper'. He has his own song 'The Bladder Stomp' to the tune of 'Lambeth Walk'.

LizLemon · 28/04/2009 12:46

ours is Orson, from Mork and Mindy. It's from DH talking to him/her. 'Mork calling Orson...come in Orson'.

DawnAS · 28/04/2009 12:48

At our first scan (had an early scan at 8 weeks), our LO looked like a jellybean so was called JB initially. Then after an Amnio, found out that we were having a pink one and JB sounded a bit too masculine, so she's been Jelly eversince.

Even all our family and friends call her Jelly, so I can see that sticking as a nickname when she's born...

Effielou · 28/04/2009 13:06

Lizlemon I love it!!! I used to love Mork and Mindy!!!

Hi Sabs

I'm 16 weeks, yes planning on Homerton, only been there for one MW appt and a scan but all seems to be good so far.

xx

Hawkesy · 28/04/2009 14:13

We've called our bump Squiglet, named like most at the time of an early scan as she was just a squiggle.

SabsBigPants · 28/04/2009 21:22

hackneybird we're only 2 weeks apart...who knows, we may meet on the wards

dillydallydaisy · 28/04/2009 21:56

Checkout daisybump.blogspot.com/ for a daft cartoon pregnancy. Might make you giggle!

There is an entry on 'naming the foetus'[!] in it.

BonzoDoodah · 29/04/2009 15:28

My first bump was 'Pudding' as when we found out I was pregnant she was the size of a grain of rice (pudding) then a plum and so on until we thought I'd look like I'd eaten all the puddings near the end. All my friends called the bump Pudding too.

This one is Dumpling.

thumbwitch · 29/04/2009 15:30

My bump has been nicknamed 'Ralph' by DP. Apprently ralph means to be sick and I did have really bad morning sickness the first few months.

Even the DC call the bump Ralph now though!

ErikaMaye · 05/05/2009 13:52

Ha - I started calling it "Bump" and my mum changed it to "Project Nelson". I get texts from my friends now saying, "How are you? And how is Nelson?" HA!
