Should I be worried that I am getting pains where my placenta is attached?

I'm 35 weeks preg. Since yesterday I have been getting continual pains where my placenta is attached (top, front, right of my bump - I know location from scans). It's not a sharp pain, bit hard to describe - it's very tender all the time and when I stand up I get an ache that feels similar to if something had been rubbing deep into it (like if your bra had been digging into you).

There's no external marks, and nothing is rubbing against it so not sure what could be causing this?

Have tried googling but all that comes up is placental abruption and I don't have any bleeding.

Not sure whether I should be concerned or not?

I've been getting that too, and occasionally a kind of "pop" when I sit or stand up. Midwife says that it's completely normal and just one of those things but it's always worth mentioning for reassurance if nothing else

Thanks BCB, that's very reassuring. I also got "pops" there but early in my pregnancy - around 16 weeks.

My friend had placental abruption with no bleeding, so it's always best to get unusual pains checked out.

Everyone is different so i would get it checked out

OK, I'll call the day unit tomorrow morning when it opens. Thanks everyone.
