I'm 10wks expecting #4 and I'm sure that I have been feeling movement tiny flutters for a while now. Has anyone else felt baby move so early?

I am 16 weeks with number 3 and I have been feeling little movements since about 10 weeks.

People said it was too early but i KNOW it was the baby

Picante · 15/04/2009 18:08

I definitely had movements with no 2 at 11 wks so ignore all those people who don't believe you!

mummy2joshuarileyandbump · 15/04/2009 18:18

I deffo had movements at 10 week with this one(being my 3rd) everyone kept teling me it is wind blah blah blah but as i had experienced this feeling before and it was completely different to how gas felt i knew it ws the baby moving.

wonderingwondering · 15/04/2009 18:18

I did with both of mine from 10/11 wks, a little tickly feeling. I am quite thin and had quite tight tummy muscles so I think that helped.

Picante · 15/04/2009 18:19

Lol ww I am fat and have no tummy muscles and I think that helped me!

11 weeks with second baby

cba · 15/04/2009 18:29

I am 16weeks with number four and cannot feel a thing

StarlightMcEggzie · 15/04/2009 18:34

That's alright cba. My theory is that having 'less sensitive' nerve endings equals less painful labour.

cba · 15/04/2009 20:15

or stomach muscles that have been stretched so much already that you cant feel a farking thing lol

franfoxy2003 · 16/04/2009 16:15

i have been feeling baby move since 14 weeks this is my second am now 19 weeks. i have a belly that isnt toned or anything but defo been feeling it!

Benjy · 16/04/2009 16:20

11 weeks with my first pregnancy; first faint flutters at 8 weeks with this pregnancy.

Starlight, I have wondered about this too. Do you know if there is any evidence for this theory?

Leannabanana · 16/04/2009 16:35

yes barnowl - i agree - i am 11 wks and def been feeling this baby for the last week or so....its unmistakeable isn't it really once you know what it feels like....this is my third preg. x

mosschops30 · 16/04/2009 16:38

lol at this thread, youre babies are the size of peanuts!
Im currently 10 weeks with no.3, have lots of flutters, but is usually followed by a big fluff

swingsandroundabouts · 16/04/2009 17:02

I'm fairly sure I felt this one (no 2) at 11 weeks so don't see why not.

Trikken · 16/04/2009 20:19

just because something is small doesn't mean you cant feel it, tell that to a man with a kidney stone.

flightoftheeasterbunyip · 17/04/2009 06:30

Peanuts? Really?

I was sure 11 week old foetuses were bigger than that. Even so, I don't think you can deny how much a baby moves during its 12 week scan - and the uterus isn't exactly cavernous by that stage so it's likely you could feel something.

flightoftheeasterbunyip · 17/04/2009 06:32

Here you go!

That's no peanut

Well unless you mean a giant monkey nut still in its shell...

memoo · 17/04/2009 14:17

and the measurements are only taken crown to rump so if you take into account those little arms and legs they are even longer!

barnowl · 17/04/2009 16:46

Glad there's others out there feeling movement too. It is so distinctive I just wonder if there's any scientific evidence out there to say if it's possible or not.

cutekids · 17/04/2009 17:50

I remember a midwife asking me if i'd been getting flutters when i was just 6 wks!!!i said that i thought i'd imagined it(this was my 3rd)and she said that alot of 2nd/3rd etc time mothers said they could feel things much earlier than in previous pregnancies!!
