33 weeks - throwing up again ..

I had pretty bad m/s till about 15 weeks but have been OK since then.

However for the last four days I have thrown up my breakfast every day - it feels different to m/s, more like its simply that my system is too squashed to cope with food at that time in the morning rather than "hormonal" sickness, if you know what I mean. Don't get much nausea unlike with m/s - rather it just happens quite quick and I think - this is coming back up again!

Has anyone experienced the same? I also have totally lost my appetite, whereas say a month ago I was eating like a horse.

Bit worried as isn't the baby growing at her fastest at the mo? Shouldn't I be eating plenty?

Many thanks

Don't worry about baby, baby will take what it needs from you, regardless of how much you eat.

I'm nearly 30 weeks and have been having sort of the same thing. Just this morning I threw up in the shower!!

I do think it is because our tummy's are a bit squished!

I threw up at around 30 weeks - I think it's heartburn as it's a lot harder to digest food at this stage with everything pushed up. Try taking some Gaviscon (it's safe in pregnancy) if you feel a bit nauseous after eating and see if that helps - it helps me and I need to take it several days a week. I'm worse after rich or spicy foods.

It's meant to help if you sit bolt upright whilst eating, and eat at least an hour before going to bed at night.

Also, just a quick note that Gaviscon is also free as you can get it on prescription from your MW!! My friend went through bottles of it during her PG. Stock up and you can always keep it in the house for after PG too...

Yes! I forgot about that and bought some!

I've got liquid and the tablets - I find the liquid a bit horrible but it's just the plain white one and you get mint or aniseed liquid I think - might be nicer!

I am nearly 32 weeks and had another throwing up episode this weekend so you are not alone. It is definitely linked to heartburn and indigestion - seem to have calmed it down with gaviscon for now (although I find all flavours pretty horrible).

I am also eating less than I was a couple of months ago as well because i'm deliberately trying to avoid getting indigestion. It doesn't seem to be doing the growth rate of the baby any harm though so i wouldn't worry yourself (i'm getting measured more frequently as i'm also seeing a consultant as well as the m/w).

Ranitidine tables do the same job as gaviscon, but are much easier to hold down, ime. A GP may also prescribe metoclopromide, which is an anti-emetic but also helps food move through your system faster, if eating is making you sick a lot.

Hiya, I started to get morning sickness back at around 32 weeks and it lasted right up until I had my DS2... I have heard it can last the whole pregnancy or it can re-appear in the 3rd trimester... I hope you feel better soon xx
