Baby's continual movement making me feel sick

I'm 8 months pregnant and my baby moves almost constantly. It seems to be forever kicking and jumping on my internal organs making me feel sick.

Any ideas if there is anything to do to either calm baby down or stop feeling so sick? I didn't have this in my last pregnancy.

Busy baby! I don't think there's anything you can do to stop him/her, but take heart in the fact that he or she will be on the outside by and by. Also, although I'm sure you aren't already, be sure not to sleep on your back as this would reduce the blood flow to the uterus and baby and possibly make him/her move around to find a better position...

Thanks Duchesse. I am sleeping on my side, and it seems that at night baby isn't so active. Well, it probbaly is but I sleep through it. Though DH has mentioned being woken up a few times with the movement.

I am know sitting through a regular thump-thump-thump session on my internal organs......it is driving me insane!

My first was like yours. He was also packed so tightly by 6/7 months that I couldn't eat an entire meal for those 3 months, which on the plus side meant I was back down below pre-pregnancy weight in ten days. I'm 22 weeks pregnant now and constantly worrying that this one's movements seem so...polite.

Well no chance of me being pre-pregnancy weight after 10 days, as I balloon during pregnancy. Will take about 10 years to lose the weight!
Just out of interest - was your first a boy?

Yes- the next two were girls and I can't honestly their movements kept me awake at night or even were especially uncomfortable. They were active, yes, but not hyper... It may also have been that everything was much roomier by the time they were in there, so less need to kick an extension through... Also they were over a pound lighter than their brother.

Intersting - my first is a girl and I have a feeling this is a boy. Though I hope it's not bigger than DD - she was nearly 11 pounds!
