Wishing you luck!

I had two as well but went on to have a healthy ds, fingers crossed for you

johnbarrowmanlovesme · 08/04/2009 23:17

Wishing you loads of luck!

I lost two babies & thought I'd never hold another baby in my arms after having a healthy DS1 but happily had DD1 three and a half years after DS1.

It's such a worrying time when you are pregnant after losing babies but do try to relax & enjoy your pregnancy.

Good luck and well done!

Best advice I can give is to try not to distress yourself with imaginings. Someone over on the "Pregnancy After Miscarriage" thread (recommended!) said to remember that this is a new pregnancy, unlike the others, and has just as good a chance of striking a home run as anyone else's.

Northernlurker · 08/04/2009 23:50

Good Luck!

treedelivery · 09/04/2009 01:01

Good luck, Good luck, Good luck.

Jackbunnysmama · 09/04/2009 03:03

BEST OF BABY LUCK TO YOU!!!
It will be fine.

devon - I'm in a similar position - 11+5 weeks preg after 2 mcs. As gentle says come over to the knickercheckers thread - lots of women in the same place as you, lots of support.

Oh and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

ladylush · 09/04/2009 09:30

Good luck Are you having reassurance scans? I had a few with this pg (two reassurance, then two because I had bleeding). Happily all is going well, hope it does for you too.

funtimewincies · 09/04/2009 09:38

Congratulations and good luck !

I'm also in a similar position (7 weeks after 3 mcs) and I echo trying to see this one as a new pg and a new chance.

I'm also celebrating each new day that I go to bed and I've not bled and have a treat when I reach the stage at which the other mcs happened.

No early scan allowed for me though unless I'm bleeding, very annoying!

ladylush · 09/04/2009 10:05

St Georges Hospital in Tooting, London do reassurance scans. They are even open on saturday. You don't need a referral.

funtimewincies · 09/04/2009 10:23

Might move down south. I'm in the wilds of Wales and we need a midwife or GP referral to EPAU with bleeding before we get a scan. Even my midwife asking for an early scan on the basis of my past mc history has been refused .

Too much need, too big a geographical area for the hospital to cover, too small a department and too few appointment slots I suppose.

franfoxy2003 · 09/04/2009 14:52

hey devon, firstly a big congrats!!! i am also 18 weeks preg after 2 m/cs after i had ds who is now 3. I never stop worrying about it even though i have got this far. im kinda dreading my next scan which is in 1 week 5 days. had same feeling with my 12 week one too and everything was fnie, dont think i will stop panicking til i can feel little one moving around lots....good luck and stay positive!

ladylush · 09/04/2009 19:30

funtime - think it's quite innovative. I haven't heard of any others that provide reassurance scans.

ladyhelenatealltheeggs · 09/04/2009 19:33

Come and join the Knicker Checkers thread. All of us there have been through the same and its a wonderfully supportive thread.
But till then congratulations and I know from personal experience how hellishly long these early weeks can be.

funtimewincies · 09/04/2009 19:33

Mmm, MIL lives in near Tooting, might have to arrange a visit .

ladylush · 09/04/2009 19:35

You should Nothing wrong with that. You don't actually have to live in the area by the way - I don't. But might be easier to go if you are staying nearby because the clinic is open from 8.30-11 and I think the earlier you get there the better.

funtimewincies · 09/04/2009 19:38

Thanks for flagging that one up Ladylush . I'll see if we can sort something out.

ladylush · 09/04/2009 19:48

You're welcome They have been very supportive and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Mind you, my expectations obstetric wise have become shockingly low

prettyfly1 · 09/04/2009 20:09

Oh good luck - everything crosse dfor you.
