Does anyone have any tips on how to get rid of post pregnancy belly?
I have put on 4 stone during pregnancy, it has been 6 weeks since I had a baby, and the bulge is still there. Anyone has any tips? would very much appreciate it as summer is coming!!

6 weeks is no time at all. It can take quite a few months for your muscles to get a grip of things again. Start with walking if you can, to get yourself moving again before doing anything more strenuous.

get out and about every day, walk for at least 45 mins at a pace which makes your heart race.

lovely to do with the baby in buggy in this weather.

i wouldn't do any toning exercises for a while until your tummy muscles have had a chance to go back in place, you can get a doctor to check for this.

Breastfeeding eats those calories but there's not much you can do otherwise except slog it out and try to shift it. Little and often is the best bet.
Plus for the future learn the rather brutal lesson that prevention is much better than cure. You don't need to gain the weight of half a healthy adult woman again, just because you're pregnant. And I say that as someone storming up the scales myself... who could really do with heeding her own advice.

i am walking 5 times a week for an hour at least. Cannot do anything vigorous as had 3rd degree tear and episiotomy which is still healing. Good idea to check the muscles though. If I start doing sit ups and my muscles are separated, is there any problem?
reg weight gain, poppet45, I know, but I am one of those people who struggled with weight all their life, and can pile on pounds by just looking at thy food.

if you do sit ups etc and the stomach muscles are separated you could strengthen them in that position, you don't wanna do that!!

just keep doing what you're doing, it'll shift in its own time. but realistically it is 9 months on, 9 months off. honestly. even my personal trainer friend took 9 months to totally shift it after her baby, she couldn't believe it...
